Before play today, our Suburbs teams joined the wider Hamilton cricket community in observing a minute’s silence in memory of Stu Pilling, along with wearing black armbands as a mark of respect.

Stu gave a huge amount to cricket in Hamilton over many years, both through his club and his service to the Hamilton Cricket Association, including as Board Chairperson.

Community sport simply doesn’t happen without people willing to give their time, energy and passion behind the scenes.

From everyone at Suburbs Community Sports Club, our thoughts are with Stu’s family, friends and the wider cricket community.

After a long winter, the whites are back out and another summer of cricket gets underway this weekend.

Our B Grade side kicks off the season tomorrow with the opening round of the T20 competition, with two games at Raymond Park.

First up we take on HKS at 10:30am, before backing it up against HSUCC at 2:30pm.

Good luck to Matty leading the boys and to everyone pulling on the Suburbs colours tomorrow.

If you're around, get down to Raymond Park, enjoy some Saturday cricket and support the lads.

🏆 Congratulations Suburbs 12 Gold! 🖤💛

Over the weekend, Suburbs 12 Gold proudly represented our club at the Global Games in Taupō.

Across four days of competition, the team went unbeaten, winning every game and ultimately taking out the Under 12 Restricted Grade! 👏

We’re incredibly proud of the team, their coaches, managers, and supporters for this fantastic achievement.

It’s a brilliant way to cap off what has already been a great season for 12 Gold, and a result the whole Suburbs whānau can celebrate.

Well done team — a huge achievement and thoroughly deserved! 🏉🏆
