Sharvin had emphatic and composed day on the mat today, taking home the the Bronze medal.
We narrowly missed out on the semi final to Hong Kong, with a fight changing leads four times and coming down to the last second. But Sharvin came back for the bronze medal match with a decisive win over South Africa.

NRNA New Zealand proudly extends its best wishes to young karate athlete Sharvin Bhusal as he travels to Manila, Philippines to participate in the prestigious 2026 Karate One – Youth League Manila, organized by the World Karate Federation (WKF). The international event will be held from 14–17 May 2026 in Manila, Philippines.

Sharvin has trained with dedication and discipline, and all preparations are underway as he represents the Nepali community in New Zealand on an international stage.

🥋 Weigh-in & Registration: Prior to the competition
📅 Match Scheduled: 18 May 2026
📺 Matches will be streamed live, and supporters from New Zealand will be cheering him on from home.

Our very own student Danielle needs our support in fundraising for overseas treatment. Dani has been with us for 4 years from the start of 2021 right until she fell unwell at the end of 2024.
