So freaking proud of you Dakota. Looking forward to having Capi get fitter and able to get back to pushing those bigger heights again🤞🏽

Gosh I’m so freaking proud of you kid! 4th jump back since bringing Capi into work and while it was a little spicy one, perhaps being locked in the bottom paddock with nice spring grass wasn’t super wise lol, kei te pai as no dismounts and awesome riding🥳

P.s also zero arguments, helps that the pōtiki is at school & Dakota has his taringa turned on🤣

**Update - tickets now been passed on🫶🏽

Unfortunately it’s just not meant to be😭

After winning 2x single day passes for Equifest from the lovely Amanda Wilson which I’m so grateful for, we just weren’t able to make it work for Mike and the boys to be able to go as the extra tickets alone for the whole weekend were going to be $905 😩

I was prepared to make it work if I found some mahi to take up there to cover the cost of the tickets and I could of easily found a motel or Air BnB to work with but just the short timing of trying to find some businesses to get some mahi from was just a little bit tight😅

So then I thought, screw it, I’ll find a friend then it will just be my costs to sort out but of course to which I don’t blame my friends, the unexpected costs to go so soon were just too much 💰

So if anyone wants these 2x single day passes that will actually make use of them, please let me know and I’ll happily koha them forward so they don’t go to waste💔

Maybe one day we will go as a whānau to EquiFest because I had a bloody darn good time last time🥳

Rough first xc session of the season for these 2🙈

Dakota not committing all the way and Capi taking the p**s lead to an interesting session😅

But nonetheless, for their first xc back and 2nd jump since being back in work, this was a good start🤗

Ngā mihi to Ally who took Dakota & Capi, put up with all of us (lol) and guided Dakota around for the afternoon with her sweet Gin… oh AND gave Tiaki a ride on gin🫶🏽

Looks like we might do a trip to Abby Longs soon for some more xc practice🥳

Well it’s a very late post as I fell asleep at 5:30pm🤣

Today was great other than Tiaki lost his s**t literally the entire ride, wasn’t happy about anything and everything with Prince’s fault 🙄

Engari, other than that it went so well. Capi and Dakota, cool as a cucumber the whole ride, Pep well she was an absolutely Queen constantly having to babysit Prince for Tiaki’s sake, Prince was a legend and didn’t set a foot wrong although from the screams of Tiaki you might think otherwise but the real MVP of the day is…FRANKIE! 👏🏽

Despite is spiciness towards Capi who annoys the s**t out of everyone when we were getting ready to leave, Frank was an absolutely fu***ng dude. Didn’t give a s**t about the tram going past, cyclists zooming through, the beach, the pōtiki screaming the bloody place down 🙄 just took everything in his stride.

While I damned my tamariki for absolute peace and fu***ng quiet on the drive home after a non peaceful ride, I still would call to a success…no one died 😉

I’ll sort the video tomorrow! 📸

Guess who? 👀

I’ll give you the answer when we get back from our beach ride🤣

02/10/2026

For almost a year we had been trying to rehome Pyro, did you know, it’s so hard rehoming a bloody good, safe, calm and well desensitised horse but it will NOT float/truck😓

We had quite a few people say that they could try their methods, their float, their truck to get him on and while we appreciated it, Pyro would not give 👎🏽

We thought we had then locked in a forever home which would mean an 8 hour walk, yep you heard that but we were willing to do it but we were ghosted 🙄 even after arranging shoes on him for the walk, completely ghosted😩

Then I did one last big push last month and Pyro’s new Māmā landed in my inbox🥰 Taylar came out to have a couple of rides on him and fell in love… vice versa, Pyro is getting very lucky with this new home.

Last night, Mike and I rode our 2 to deliver Pyro with his new Māmā to his new home… thankfully it was only 30 minutes down the road🤣 Frank had his first very busy road ride to do this and handled every vehicle encounter including a motorbike like a champ 👏🏽

This is such a happy ending for everyone and we cannot wait to see Pyro and Taylar flourish together🥰

URGENT 🚨

Prince broke his bridle 😈

We are off to the beach tomorrow and there’s no way this devil will allow Tiaki to ride him in a halter🤣

Does anyone have a pony size bridle/reins set I can purchase today please?🤞🏽

Ngā mihi 🐴
