As the final whistle blows on another season, and our annual community awards now complete, it's time to take a moment to reflect, recharge, and say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of the 2026 rugby season.
To our players, coaches, managers, referees, volunteers, club administrators, club committees, supporters, and families - thank you. Rugby simply doesn't happen without the countless hours you invest behind the scenes and on the field every week.
To our clubs, thank you for your passion, commitment, and dedication to keeping the game thriving in your communities. The strength of Wairarapa Bush Rugby is built on the efforts of our clubs and the people within them.
To our sponsors and funding partners, your support makes so much of what we do possible. From junior rugby through to representative programs, coach and referee development, and community initiatives, your investment in our game has a lasting impact throughout the region. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support.
To our wider Wairarapa and South Wairarapa communities, thank you for getting behind our teams, attending matches, supporting events, and helping create an environment where rugby continues to bring people together.
The season has provided plenty of highlights, memorable performances, new opportunities, and moments of pride. Most importantly, it has strengthened the connections that make rugby such an important part of our region.
While the boots and jerseys might be put away for a short time, the work never really stops. Over the coming weeks we'll take the opportunity to decompress, review the season, and start planning for an even bigger and better 2027.
