Harmony between horse and rider is not an indefinable artistic ideal - it can be an evidence-informed feature of good horsemanship, one that can be assessed fairly, when science and technology is used in support.
Be gentle - I have tried something new here! This is my first animated explainer video, setting out how harmony between horse and rider can be viewed through a scientific lens as an emergent property arising from four interconnected domains: effective communication, behaviour and affective state, biomechanical function, and welfare outcomes.
Defined this way, harmony can be described, taught, trained, judged and rewarded.
I'd welcome thoughts on whether this format works for conveying this sort of information.

Grazing Space available at Glenolive.
This is only because these two lovely boys will soon be moving to a new home with their owners. We are so sad to say goodbye, have had them with us here for 9 years!
