📣 A little reminder… we are BOOKED!

Our remaining school & community event spaces are now fully booked through until April 2027 🤯💚

Schools and local community events have been some of our biggest supporters over the past 3 years, so we’ll always do our absolute best to accommodate you where we can. Please just get in early!

A little note for future events: we no longer attend markets, Coro Fair, Beach Hop or similar events unless there is access to power. With the cost of gas, diesel and travel, it’s simply no longer viable for us to operate these events off-grid.

SUMMER BLISS BOWLS
🍲🥗🍤🥓🍣🍄🫜

Buddha bowls, poke bowls, katsu bowls… call them whatever you like, we’re calling them fresh, filling and bloody delicious!

There’ll be no set recipe. Each bowl will be "Chef’s Choice",made with whatever fresh goodness we have available that day. Carrots, cucumber, capsicum, edamame, feta, sundried tomatoes, seeds, nuts, cous cous, rice and plenty more....

🌱 🥗Fresh veggie bowl — $15
🥓🥩Add protein — $5

Protein choices will change too.....anything from fried chicken, sirloin strips to garlic prawns or salmon.

Every bowl is made to order, so we can cater for gluten-free, nut-free and vegan option just let us know when ordering!

We’re now fully booked until late March with deposits all paid up & spots secured. April enquiries are already rolling in!

I’ve also got a new automated admin system helping me out. I’m still learning how to drive it, so if a message sounds suspiciously professional or a little too AI-ish… please check with me if something isnt right! 😂 It’s still me, just trying to lighten the admin load!

Midwinter Christmas dates will be next to fill, so get in ASAP!

🌿 CASUAL SUMMER STAFF WANTED - soooonish...

As we head into our busy summer season, we’ll soon be on the lookout for a few casual staff members to jump in where needed.

We’ve got all sorts happening, so the hours won’t be particularly childcare-friendly. Most shifts will be weekends, weeknights, late nights and the occasional early-morning start.

Please don’t bombard my inbox with a list of qualifications and certificates. You could be qualified to the nines in cheffing, business & God knows what else, but that isn’t what matters to me.

Safe to say, I can be a bit of an ass to work for 😂 I’m very direct, I work fast and I need people who don’t take everything personally. When we’re working, we’re there to get the job done as effectively and efficiently as possible, with smiles on our faces. Once the job is done, we can talk as much s**t as you like!

You’ll need to be:
• Have clear English
• Reliable and available (notice will be given, as most dates are confirmed)
• Well presented - especially for our wedding work!
• Confident working in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly and professional with customers
• Experienced in hospitality (or ability to learn)
• Able to take direction without taking it personally
• Happy with genuine casual, as-needed work with no guaranteed hours.

Must be okay to be back to back, in our 3m squared box! And cant be any taller than 5'8! Lol you'll touch my lights 😩🤦‍♀️

Aprons, uniform etc will be provided!

🐮 Calf Club days are coming up, and Kōtuku Collective will be there!

☕ Saturday 17 October – Waitakaruru School: We’ll be serving coffee to keep everyone going through the day.

🐮 Thursday 22 October – Ngatea group day: We’ll be there too! Our offerings are still to be confirmed, so keep an eye out for an update. Coffee is a must!

We can’t wait to see the children, their animals and all the hard work they’ve put in. 🌿🐦‍⬛

Notes from the coffee cart:
CLEANING! 🧽🥴😩

Honestly, what a nightmare. Between coffee grinds and vat oil, the cleaning never ends 😅 Here are a few hacks I’ve picked up along the way:

✨ Stainless steel: Jif for marks, vinegar for fingerprints & grease
🧴 Fats and oils: Degreaser
💨 Range hood covers: Oven or grill cleaner spray, then hot water or a high-pressure hose.
🪣 Floors: A cap of laundry softener in the mop bucket leaves them smelling lovely
🍋 Fridge smells: Lemons or baking soda
🫣 Mats : waterblaster, cant win
👓 Windows : pfffft i give up or newspaper
