We are saddened to share the passing of Bob Walley, former Petone menโ€™s first team player and long-time supporter.

Bob was one of our clubโ€™s highest-capped players, making his first team league debut in 1957 and representing Petone until 1975. He is known to have made at least 191 first team appearances, with incomplete early records suggesting the true number may be more than 230+

His contribution to Petone extended well beyond the pitch, serving as Club Captain, coach, Management Committee member and more. Bob remained a familiar face at first team home games for many years, continuing to support the club he had given so much to.

A true Petone man who will be sadly missed.

Rest in peace, Bob. ๐Ÿ’™
