Whitby Tennis Club is situated in the Porirua suburb of Whitby. We have four courts, floodlights are on courts 1 & 2 with courts 3 & 4 open to the public.

Whitby Tennis Club was founded by the local community in 1975, and is situated in the Porirua suburb of Whitby. There are four courts, two with a rebound synpave surface, and two surfaced with asphalt. The two rebound synpave courts have floodlights that allow members to play up to 10:00pm at night. We have well appointed clubrooms and ample off road car parking. Whitby Tennis Club offers membersh

ip options for all ages and for all playing abilities, whether you’re a casual member wanting access to club facilities as and when you feel like a game, or a semi-competitive member with an organised mid-week evening league. Weekend Interclub members are also involved in teams entered into a range of grades including Regional, Men’s, Women’s, Mixed and Junior teams in either the Wellington or Kapi Mana competitions. All grades commence in early October and run through until April the next year. Members of the public may use the courts too. Please note that Whitby Tennis Club uses the courts during the tennis season (September to April) during the times below;

Monday 3:30pm to 7:30pm
Tuesday 4:00pm to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:30pm
Wednesday 5:00pm to 6:30pm and 7:30pm to 8:30pm
Thursday 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Friday 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Saturday 9:00am to 5:30pm (All Day Interclub)
Sunday 9:00am to 1:00pm (Interclub)

Refer to the notice board for Whitby Tennis Club Special Events such as Tournaments and Club Championships. Please restrict your games to 30 minutes if others are waiting. Additional Porirua City Council public courts include;

Jillett Street (2 courts)
Ascot Park (2 courts)

Whitby Tennis Club provides you with the opportunity to meet friendly local people, to get your kids involved in a healthy outdoor sport, and to play sport at a competitive level if you wish. Contact us if you would like more information. New members are welcome.

Not long to go before Love Tennis happens at the Whitby Tennis Club and who's excited???.....We are...that's who!
This is for the WHOLE Club to celebrate the new season on Sunday 13th Sept 10am - 2pm. Bring your friends, neighbors and have a hit. New World Whitby will be keeping us well feed so that's awesome. Lots of giveaways and prizes to be won as well.

Attention all Junior players. Enrollments close 5th Sept to be part of our awesome Junior Interclub teams which start 11th October.
To current players, please email [email protected] to confirm you are keen to be part of a team, or if you were part of the Thursday coaching last year with Andrew and Quina and ready to play interclub, please also make contact.
If you are new to Whitby and also ready to play interclub assuming you have played before or had coaching, then email away.
