ROUND 9 — GAME DAY!

Today our Tāne roll into Fielding to take on Fielding Whānau.

Another opportunity to pull together, represent our club and give it everything for the full 80. We need our people on the sideline, wear our colours, bring the noise and get behind our team!

Kick-off: 2:30pm
Victoria Park, Feilding

Our Wāhine have secured the win by default and now turn their attention to Finals. They’ll use this weekend to rest, recover, attend to any niggles and prepare for what lies ahead. Proud of how far they’ve come, but the mahi is far from finished.

GAME DAY

Our wāhine take on Kia Ora Warriors in their final round before the playoffs.

This season has been built on growth, connection, trust and working for one another. That mahi has placed them in a position where a win will earn them a direct place in the Final.

Nothing is guaranteed and the mahi is not finished. Stay grounded, stay connected and keep working for one another, wāhine.

Our tāne head to Fielding with two games remaining.

This team started strongly and showed what it is capable of. Now is the time for everyone who committed to stand alongside their brothers and finish the season together.

A special mihi to those who have continued to turn up, you have been the backbone of this team.

Regardless of the result, turn up for your team, our kaupapa and, most importantly, yourself. Pride is showing up and finishing what you started.

BYE WEEK

A well-earned weekend off for both our senior teams. Time to rest the bodies, recover and get a few Ks in before we’re back into it.

While the rest of us enjoy the bye, five of our Wāhine are heading to Hawke’s Bay to represent MRL at the NZRL Championship Grade.

WHAT A GAME!

A great team effort ladies, attacking for the majority of the game and making the most of our opportunities. Executing our set plays paid off, rewarding us with some great tries.

Massive carries from our props and outside backs, with plenty of hard work across the park. Great to see our captain slot some tricky conversions in the strong winds too.

Massive mihi to the brothers who showed up and took the field today.

It was a tough day out, but our boys continued to battle hard and never gave up. Our centres were the workhorses, putting in a huge shift on both attack and defence.

A challenging game, but the brothers stayed in the fight, represented our team and kaupapa, and showed plenty of heart and determination right to the end.

Our Wāhine head to Linton Military Camp to take on the Linton Cobras, while our Tāne are back at Coronation Park to face the Kia Ora Warriors.

Massive mihi to Takaro Taniwha.

A tough game today and another one we know we could’ve got more from.

Massive effort from every brother who took the field. Moments of brilliance, strong carries and some huge defensive efforts, plenty to be proud of and plenty to build on.

We know we’ve got the goods. Now it’s about consistency, communication and getting it right together. The passion and belief are there.

Commitment is key, brothers, turning up for each other, for the team and for the kaupapa.
