Fast‑forward to today, and Jim is once again stepping onto the line for the Australia Match… but this time as Captain of the Australian R***e Team, with Brisbane set to host the event in just a few weeks.

🇦🇺🎯 Australian Target R***e Team – Final Training Weekend at Belmont

Clear blue skies have greeted the Australian Target R***e Team at Belmont this weekend as they settle in for their final training session before the big event — now only weeks away.

It’s the last chance for the squad to come together on the mound, refine processes, check gear and build on everything they’ve worked toward throughout the year. Conditions have been kind, spirits are high, and the focus is firmly on finishing strong.

Beyond the drills and detail work, this weekend is also about reconnecting with mates and locking in that shared momentum heading into October.

The countdown is officially on. Follow along for updates as the team pushes through these final stages toward the Australia Match. 🇦🇺💛💚

Congratulations to Australian Target R***e Team member Shane Abood, who has taken out the QRA Queensland R***e Association Kings Prize at Belmont today — marking his third Kings Prize victory.

An outstanding achievement from a shooter who continues to deliver on the big stage.

🌈🎯 A Little Magic at Belmont
While we spend most of our time looking down our sights, focused on the target at the end of the range, every now and then the sport throws up a moment that genuinely surprises you.

During our training session at Belmont Range over the weekend, one of those moments appeared — literally — when an incredible rainbow arced across the range and landed right on the targets.

No pot of gold waiting for us… but we’ll happily take the V‑bulls instead. 🇦🇺💛💚
