Three Filipino mixed martial artists are ready for battle after making weight for Warriors Dream Series 18, set for Saturday, August 29, at the CIDCO Exhibition & Convention Centre in Navi Mumbai, India.
Kimbert Alintozon, JR Alejandro, and Elorde Sandigon will carry the Philippine flag against Indian opponents, with all three successfully making the limit for their respective flyweight bouts.
Alintozon leads the Filipino contingent as he takes on hometown fighter Jeko Laishram in the main event.
The hard-hitter from Negros Occidental weighed 57 kilograms, while Laishram registered 55.8 kilograms ahead of their clash.
Alejandro also made the 57.2-kilogram mark for his meeting with Shoaib Khan. His Indian counterpart came in at 56.8 kilogram.
Sandigon, meanwhile, will face Bishal Sahu in another flyweight encounter. The Filipino checked in at 57 kilograms, slightly below Sahu's weight of 57.05 kilograms.
The three matchups give the Philippines a strong presence on the card, with each fighter facing an opponent from the host nation.
Alintozon will have the biggest spotlight when he closes the show in the main event, while Alejandro and Sandigon will look to deliver wins earlier in the evening.
