Creating Champions on and off the course

FROM THE BOTTOM TO THE TOP โ€” AND WEโ€™RE JUST GETTING STARTED. ๐ŸŒ๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Three years ago, we were here at Mimosa, when BJGA was just beginning its revamp. Back then, our players were at the bottom. We knew we had a long way to go.

Today, we look at these kids and proudly say: we now have a chance to compete.

At todayโ€™s Interschool Pre-Season Tournament at Mimosa, our BJGA kids delivered:

๐Ÿฅ‰ Zyrah โ€” 3rd Place
๐Ÿ… Zyriel โ€” 4th Place
๐Ÿฅ‰ Berkeley Team โ€” 3rd Place
Zyrah โ€ข Zyriel โ€ข Xian

๐Ÿ… Zoey โ€” Tied 4th
๐Ÿ… Zane โ€” Top 6
๐Ÿ… Amiya โ€” Top 10

But beyond the medals and rankings, what makes us most proud is seeing how far these kids have come.

Three years ago, we were building from the ground up. Today, our juniors are standing toe-to-toe with some of the best young golfers around.

And this is only the beginning.

We are incredibly proud of every one of you. Keep working. Keep believing. Keep enjoying the game. Your journey is still young, and there is so much more ahead.

One day, we hope to see these kids wearing the Philippine flag and representing our country. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Only time will tell.

But if the past three years are any indication of whatโ€™s possible, the future is very, very bright.

๐Ÿ† WHAT A WAY TO KICKSTART THE BERKELEY GOLF TEAM! โ›ณ๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Despite the odds, Berkeley finishes TOP 3 at the Interschool Pre-Season Tournament held at Mimosa Plus Golf Course!

The challenge was already tough โ€” 4 players needed, with only 3 scores counting. But Berkeley had to face an even bigger disadvantage, with only three players able to compete: Zyrah, Zyriel, and Xian.

With no room for error, the three stepped up, held it together, and played as a team. ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿ… Individual Results:
๐Ÿฅ‰ Zyrah โ€” battled her way into 3rd Place Individual
๐Ÿ… Zyriel โ€” finished 4th Place Individual
๐Ÿ”ฅ Xian โ€” with two clutch birdies, kept Berkeley in the fight and gave the team a shot at 3rd, finishing just 3 shots behind Brent Manila.

Three players. One team. One goal. โค๏ธ

They may have been short-handed, but they showed that teamwork, composure, and heart can overcome the odds.

This is only the beginning.

Congratulations, Berkeley Golf Team! โ›ณ๏ธ๐Ÿ†
What an awesome way to kickstart the season! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

โ˜€๏ธ A Bit of Sun, A Bit of Rainโ€ฆ ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐ŸŒˆ

Sometimes, the best days arenโ€™t the ones with perfect weather.

Despite the forecast, our young golfers showed up. ๐Ÿ’ชโ›ณ Through a little rain ๐ŸŒง๏ธ and a little sunshine โ˜€๏ธ, they kept playing, learning, and smiling. Then, as if God wanted to remind us of His faithfulness, a beautiful rainbow appeared across the sky. ๐ŸŒˆ

โ€œI have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.โ€ โ€” Genesis 9:13

Today wasnโ€™t just about birdies, pars, or trophies. ๐Ÿ†

At BJGA, weโ€™re planting something far greater than medalsโ€”weโ€™re planting seeds. ๐ŸŒฑ Seeds of character. Seeds of discipline. Seeds of perseverance. Seeds of faith. Seeds of commitment.

Just as God sends both the rain and the sunshine to help every seed grow, He also uses both the challenges and the victories in the lives of these young athletes. ๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ

We may not see the harvest today, but we know that one day, these seeds will bloom. ๐ŸŒณ These children will become successful not only as golfers, but as men and women of integrity, humility, resilience, and faith.

Because in the end, trophies may fadeโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ†โœจ
But character lasts a lifetime. โค๏ธ

๐ŸŒˆ Keep showing up.
โ˜€๏ธ Keep trusting Godโ€™s timing.
๐ŸŒฑ Keep planting seeds.
โ›ณ The harvest will come.

๐Ÿ† Champion Again! ๐Ÿ†

Congratulations to Miguel for once again capturing the Division A Championship at the JGFP 2-Man Scramble held at Club Intramuros, alongside his partner Ezekiel! ๐Ÿ‘โ›ณ

While Baguio continues to pour with rain, Miguel continues to pour in the hard work. Rain or shine, champions are made through consistency, discipline, and countless hours of practice.

Your BJGA family is proud of you. Keep grinding, keep learning, and keep inspiring the next generation of junior golfers!

โ›ณ๐ŸŒ๏ธ Fore! Berkeley is officially in the game!

A new chapter begins as Berkeley launches its Golf Club, giving students another exciting way to learn, grow, and have fun outside the classroom. ๐ŸŽ‰

Golf may look like itโ€™s all about hitting a tiny ball into a tiny hole, but itโ€™s actually a sport that teaches some of lifeโ€™s biggest lessons. ๐Ÿ’š Every swing builds patience, every round teaches honesty, every challenge develops resilience, and every game reminds students of the value of respect and sportsmanship.

๐Ÿ“šโœจ At Berkeley, education isnโ€™t just about earning good gradesโ€”itโ€™s about shaping confident, well-rounded individuals. By embracing sports alongside academics, the school continues to create opportunities for students to discover new passions, build lasting friendships, and develop leadership skills that will serve them for years to come.

Who knows? Todayโ€™s first swing could become tomorrowโ€™s championship momentโ€”or simply the beginning of a lifelong love for the game. ๐Ÿ†๐ŸŒฟ

Hereโ€™s to more birdies, fewer bogeys, and a generation of students growing into leaders both on and off the golf course. โ›ณ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ† Champion! ๐Ÿ†

Congratulations to Miguel for capturing the Pradera Verde Junior Open 2026 title!

Miguel finished with a remarkable 3-day total of 241, securing the championship by an impressive 11-stroke margin.

The final round was the ultimate test. Battling tough course conditions, he carded 4-over on both the front and back nine, showing composure and resilience to protect his lead until the very end.

This victory didnโ€™t happen overnight. It is the result of countless hours of practice, discipline, perseverance, and the willingness to learn from every challenge. Today marks a breakthrough in Miguelโ€™s young career as he officially steps into the championsโ€™ league.

The journey is only beginning, and we know there is so much more to come from this talented young golfer.

Congratulations, Miguel! Your BJGA family is incredibly proud of you. Keep dreaming big, stay humble, and continue inspiring the next generation. โ›ณ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ’ช

๐ŸŒ๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธโ›ณ Where Golf Begins: Family, Bonding, and Memories

Every year, the JGFP Parent & Child Tournament serves as more than just a competitionโ€”it is a reminder of the bond we hope to build and strengthen with our children through the game of golf.

From birdies to bogeys, every swing shared between parent and child tells a story. Beyond the scorecards and trophies, this event brings us back to the very first reason why many of us fell in love with golf: to spend meaningful time together, create lasting memories, and enjoy the game with the people we love most.

Whether it was a clutch putt, a wayward drive, or simply walking the fairways side by side, these are the moments that our children will remember long after the final scores are posted.

Congratulations to all our winners and participants for making this yearโ€™s tournament another celebration of family and golf.

๐Ÿ†โ›ณ A Moment We Will Never Forget โ›ณ๐Ÿ†

As a child and as a parent, there are moments that stay with you foreverโ€”moments when everything changes, when history is made. โค๏ธ

During the 3-day JPGT Tournament at Beverly Place Golf Club, Nathan entered the final round in 5th place, trailing several seasoned players after Day 2. The odds were against him, but determination can move mountains. ๐Ÿ’ชโ›ฐ๏ธ

On the final day, Nathan battled through every shot. He turned in a solid front nine at 3-over, keeping himself within striking distance. ๐ŸŽฏ

But the real magic happened on the back nine. โœจ

๐ŸŒง๏ธ As the rain poured relentlessly, Nathan refused to give in. Standing on the final hole, with a 15-foot birdie putt and everything on the line, he calmly rolled it into the center of the cup. โ›ณ๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐Ÿ™Œ The crowd erupted. What seemed impossible just hours before became reality.

๐Ÿ“ˆ That one putt propelled him all the way to 2nd place, an incredible podium finish and a performance that will be remembered for years to come.

๐Ÿ… A play of a lifetime.
๐Ÿ’š A lesson in perseverance.
โญ A reminder that belief and determination can take you further than anyone expects.

Congratulations, Nathan! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘

Your future is bright, and we canโ€™t wait to see where this journey takes you next. Keep chasing your dreams, one shot at a time. โ›ณ๐Ÿš€

Ate Rianne showed us how straight a golf shot can really be โ€” defying the odds with every swing, every shot, and every moment on the course.

What once looked impossible became normal when she played. Pure confidence, pure dedication, and a game built with discipline beyond her years.

And now, from being a promising young golfer to becoming a World Champion, she continues to inspire the next generation to dream bigger and aim straighter.

We are so proud of you, Ate Rianne. ๐Ÿ’™โ›ณ๐Ÿ†

26/05/2026

Not so long ago, back in September 2023 during the Mimosa Junior Open, it was the very first tournament BJGA joined outside of Baguio โ€” the beginning of the revamped BJGA journey.

Rianne was only around 15 years old then, still a teenager, but already showing so much promise. They say thereโ€™s no such thing as a perfectly straight shot in golf, but with Rianne, it always felt different. Every shot she hit looked like a rainbow in the sky โ€” flying dead straight right onto the target line.

And now, 3 years later, she continues to make history once again, this time as a freshman at Duke University.

We are beyond proud of you, Ate Rianne. Your BJGA family will always be cheering for you every step of the way. ๐Ÿ’™โ›ณ

Duke freshman Rianne Malixi delivered a strong performance at the NCAA Championship, finishing third individually with a 9-under-par total of 279.

She posted rounds of 73, 69, 68, and 69, with her 72-hole score tied for the second-lowest in Duke history.

Malixi also made program history, becoming just the sixth Duke freshman to place in the top five of an NCAA Championship, joining elite names Phoebe Brinker, Virginia Elena Carta, Leona Maguire, Jennie Lee, and Candy Hannemann.

A standout debut season on the big stage for the Filipino golf star. โ›ณ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ
