This upcoming event gathers athletes from across the country, each aiming to demonstrate skill, discipline, and dedication in their respective divisions.
The UB Cardinals Combative Club is set to participate once again in the 2026 National Kickboxing Championship at the Tagaytay Sports Complex, Tagaytay City. In the previous National Championships, the Baguio Kickboxing Team achieved recognition as Overall Champion, with standout performances including Yamanjah Mennao Facunla , who became a 2-time gold medalist and was honored as Best Male Kickboxer. In 2024, Mattan Mollejon was also recognized as the Most Promising Athlete. In addition, Mr. Jomar Balangui was awarded Best Male Technical Official in ring sport, reflecting consistency and professionalism in officiating. Coach Dare L. Malecdan was likewise recognized as Best Coach for two consecutive years, underscoring leadership and commitment to athlete development.
For this yearβs competition, the team moves forward with continued preparation, discipline, and determination, carrying both experience and lessons from previous competitions. The Cardinals express gratitude for the support of the university community, fellow athletes from different sports, friends, and all who continue to stand behind the team throughout this journey, guiding our athletes with our hardworking Coach Kia Ashlene Malecdan and our Head Coach Dare L.
