Dear Parents,

Playing time isn't earned through complaints—it's earned through commitment.

Coaches don't have favorites; they trust the players who consistently show up, work hard, listen, stay disciplined, respect their teammates, and remain coachable. Talent may open the door, but attitude, effort, and accountability keep it open.

Instead of asking why your child isn't playing more, encourage them to become the kind of player every coach can depend on. Growth takes time, and every practice is another opportunity to improve.

Let's work together to teach our young athletes that success comes from dedication, humility, and perseverance—not entitlement.

Character earns trust. Trust earns opportunities. Opportunities earn playing time. 🏀😇

The best coaches don’t hand out playing time they reward it. Every coach has favorites, but those favorites are usually the players who show up early, stay late, accept coaching, defend, communicate, and put the team first.

If your goal is more minutes, stop worrying about who the coach likes and become the player every coach trusts. Trust is earned long before tip-off. 🏀💯

In youth developmental basketball, posting lopsided scores does little to build the game. A huge winning margin can unintentionally humiliate not only the opposing coaches, but more importantly, the young players who are still learning and growing.

Winning is part of sports, but how we win defines our character.

Let's celebrate effort, teamwork, sportsmanship, and player development—not just the numbers on the scoreboard.
