The Asiatech Jaguars once again proved their prowess by defeating their Arch-rivals St Vincent College in the Lacuaa season 9,Where they crowned Champions..In the opening game of Lacuaa season 10 last thursday Jan. 23,2025 at Perpetual Help Calamba gym.The two teams clashed again,with the Jaguars emerging victorious with th the score of 70-64
Jerome Vergara,Jabby Montoya,Dexter Lugmay and rookie Paolo Lorenzana combined their efforts on offense and defense to lead the Jaguars to Victory.
According to Head Coach Pablo Lucas”team work,hardwork,communication and discipline or patience in setting up plays are the keys to success” coach Lucas was assisted by Coaches Jacob Lucas and Ron Monte

Last Sunday, October 20, 2024, Asiatech triumphed once again over Malayan College with a score of 60-52 at the CDC gym. The Asiatech Jaguars showcased the importance of teamwork in basketball, overcoming the height advantage of their opponents. Four key players—Joas Dia Olivar, Dexter Lugmay, Jabby Montoya, and Jerome Vergara—each scored in double digits, highlighting the depth of their roster.

Joas Olivar was named the best player of the game, scoring 18 points. With under three minutes left in the game, and the score tied, Olivar fearlessly sank a three-point shot, giving the Jaguars a crucial lead. This was quickly followed by stellar defense from the team and another three-pointer by Dexter Lugmay, which further secured the victory. Vergara and Montoya also made significant contributions with their fearless drives, helping the Jaguars widen their lead and ultimately seal the win.

In his post-game remarks, Olivar credited his teammates, particularly Vergara and Montoya, for their pivotal roles in the game, emphasizing that the victory was a collective effort. Coach Pablo Lucas echoed this sentiment, expressing his gratitude for the team's communication on the court, which he noted was essential to both their defense and offense. He also extended thanks to Mam Shelalin Illeve, Mr. and Mrs. Barraquio, and sports coordinator Jerome Perez for their support.

Asiatech Jaguars Edge Out SPCBA 81-80 in Overtime Thriller at SLCUAA

In a thrilling overtime match, the Asiatech Jaguars narrowly defeated SPCBA with a final score of 81-80 in the Southern Luzon College and University Athletic Association (SLCUAA) game, held yesterday at Calamba Doctors College.

Jericho Mateto, the "TANK
" of the team, was named the Best Player of the Game, scoring an impressive 20 points. He was well-supported by shooting guard and slasher Dexter Lugmay, who gave the Jaguars the lead in the final 30 seconds of the game.

Point guards Jabby Montoya and Joas Olivar played a crucial role in orchestrating the Jaguars' offense and defense. Their exceptional playmaking included three-point shots, drop passes, and kick-out passes that kept the team's momentum strong throughout the game.

The Jaguars' perseverance, especially in the game's closing moments, was a key factor in their victory. Their excellent communication on the court allowed them to execute both offensive and defensive strategies effectively, particularly during situational plays.

Head Coach Pablo Lucas praised his players for their determination and teamwork, expressing his gratitude to Team Manager Shelalin Guden and Mr. and Mrs. Noel Barraquio for their unwavering support.
