Rok Cup Poland Rd 4 -
Lucas headed to Poland at the weekend to make his debut in Senior ROK and visit the country and track for the very first time.
The invite came a couple of weeks beforehand and Lucas looked forward to introducing himself to a category he knew nothing about, in terms of engine , track , tyres and team.
Practice day on Friday was difficult due to how old Lucas’s practice tyres were but he got his head down to learn the track. Once we put better tyres in Lucas became one of the quickest instantly which told us everything.
Saturday qualifying didn’t go to plan as the engine wouldn’t start, this was down to using the red button, which is a latching button, to stop the engine on a stand warm up again something we didn’t know. Lucas lost 2 laps due to this but managed to put his kart on P7.
Things are done very different for races here in Poland as basically they have 4 races not 3 heats and a final and you score points for each race which then gives you your finishing position for the weekend and you start from where you finish the race before.
Race 1 - P6
Race 2 - P6
Race 3 - P1
Race 4 - P2
This gave Lucas an overall finishing position of P4 just of the podium which he was very disappointed about.
We and the team thought this was a fantastic finishing position showing front running pace in Race 4 and winning Race 3 by 10 secs in the wet.
Lucas again showed how easily he can adapt to yet again another category to get to the front and the mentality he has to learn a track quickly.
We are now in talks concerning the remaining ROK Cup Poland rounds and the possibility of going to the super Finals in Lonato.
We can’t thank SBR Mini-cadet Karting for organising this and and his team for all their help and welcoming Lucas into their awning and giving Lucas the opportunity to drive for you.
We would like to also thank everyone in the paddock and ROK CUP Poland for welcoming Lucas into the paddock.

Oliwia Sułkowska ( #22) Pokaze Baby ROK
Oliwia Sułkowska – Continuous Growth and ConsistencyOliwia delivered a stellar performance over the Toruń race weekend, demonstrating outstanding development in her driving technique. From the first practice session, she showed an excellent grasp of the racing line on this technical circuit. Her lap-to-lap consistency improved dramatically with each outing, proving that her confidence in the kart is growing rapidly. Oliwia’s focus, ability to adapt to changing track conditions, and sharp decision-making during the exhibition sessions mark a highly successful weekend of progression.
Wiktor Knyszewski ( #2) Pokaze Baby ROK
Wiktor Knyszewski – Resilience and Spirit in a Challenging WeekendWiktor showed great pace and impressive technical progress during the opening sessions of the weekend, executing his lines cleanly and matching the rhythm of the field.
Unfortunately, his weekend saw him involved in a heavy on-track accident. Traveling down the main straight, Wiktor was completely unsighted behind a pack of other karts. When a driver ahead spun out, Wiktor had zero visibility and no time to react, resulting in a high-speed, heavy impact.
First and foremost, the entire SBR team sends our heartfelt thoughts to the driver involved in the collision. We wish him a swift, full, and speedy recovery.
While Wiktor escaped serious injury, he suffered a nosebleed from the physical jolt and was understandably very shaken by the severity of the incident. Accidents of this scale are a difficult reality of motorsport, especially for young drivers.
As a team, our immediate priority is to support Wiktor through his recovery process. We will work closely with him over the coming weeks to rebuild his comfort behind the wheel and fully regain his confidence on the track.
Lucas Blantford ( #223) – Senior ROK Lucas had a massive weekend in the highly competitive Senior ROK class, ultimately finishing 4th overall in the event classification with 65 total points.
Qualification: 11th place
Race 1: 6th place (10 points)
Race 2: 6th place (10 points)
Race 3: 1st place 🏆 (25 points)
Race 4: 2nd place 🥈 (20 points)
