Great away win for the P16! 🏉

Today, our P16 squad made the trip up to Jönköping to face Stockholm Exiles RFC, coming away with a strong 50-17 victory!

Building on their opening win against WEST a couple of weeks ago, the boys showed great teamwork today and kept their positive momentum going on the pitch.

A big thank you to Stockholm Exiles for a tough, well-fought match, and to the hosts in Jönköping for facilitating a great day of youth rugby. 🤝

And as always, a huge shoutout to the coaches and the dedicated people who traveled to support the boys from the sidelines!

Match Result: Round 3 of Allsvenskan 🏉

Yesterday at Limhamnsfältet, the Men's team continued their solid start to the season with a 90-0 victory over Spartacus. We are pleased to take away another goood result and see the squad's hard work at training paying off on the pitch.

A sincere thank you to Spartacus for making the journey down from Göteborg and for a physical, well-fought match! 🤝

We also want to send a huge thank you to all the supporters who came out to cheer on the boys under the rain. Your sideline energy is key!

Strong team performance in Allsvenskan's Round 2! 🏉

Yesterday at Limhamnsfältet, the Men's team secured a solid victory in our first home game of the Allsvenskan season against Vänersborg.

Final Score: Malmö RC 80 - 0 Vänersborg

Head Coach Jan Sjöholm was pleased with the squad's discipline and the opportunity to develop newer players. Here is his post-match report:

"Very happy with the team’s performance, we stuck to our structure and controlled the outcome throughout the 80 minutes. We've been able to use the depth of our squad, resulting in 15 different try scorers across two matches, and most importantly, the youngsters got match time. Credit to VRK, they stuck to it the full 80 minutes, especially their tackling was impressive."

Weekend Results: Opening Round of Allsvenskan 🏉

This weekend marked the first round of the 2026 Allsvenskan season, and we had three Malmö teams in action. It is always a great feeling to get a new season underway, and we are grateful to come away with positive results across the board.

Here is the summary from the weekend's matches:

▫️ Men’s Team: Traveled to play Göteborg on Saturday, finishing with a 57-5 win.
▫️ P16: Played their season opener at home at Limhamnsfältet on Sunday, securing a 31-19 win against WEST.
▫️ P18: Followed up on Sunday afternoon at home with a 28-10 victory over WEST.

A big thank you to Göteborg Rugby and WEST for three well-played matches and the great sportsmanship shown on the pitch. We wish you both the best of luck in your upcoming games!

We also want to extend our appreciation to the referees, the matchday volunteers, and everyone who came out to support the teams this weekend. We look forward to getting back to training and continuing the hard work. ❤️💛🖤

DOUBLE GOLD FOR MALMÖ AT DM! 🏆

What a Saturday! Both our Men’s and Women’s teams took home the gold at the Skåne District Championship (DM)! 🥇🥇

Here is a recap of the day:

💥 The Women’s Team
Our women put on a great performance in 7s, securing the title with a 29-10 win over Pingvin and a 36-12 victory against LUGI!
Coach Marcus Fjelner was incredibly proud of the squad’s development:
"Despite the absence of our regular captain, the team maintained a positive atmosphere and showed great energy. Maja Ljungqvist stepped up as captain for the day and led with confidence. We faced strong opposition and well-played games from both Pingvin and LUGI, but played with discipline and efficiency. As a relatively young team, they are continuously gaining experience, growing in confidence, and improving their understanding of the game. Their performances showed not only individual progress but also a strengthening team structure!"

💥 The Men’s Team
The men brought the heat, grinding out a tough 12-5 win against Pingvin before securing a dominant 37-0 victory against Häljarp/Helsingborg to claim the top spot!
Men's captain Samuel Ahlbäck shared his thoughts on the team's performance:
"We turned up with a squad with a good mix of talented youth, experienced players, and a couple of new faces in new positions. Our goal was to win two games, which we did. So I’d say the team can be happy with their performance. With that said, the games revealed a lot of work-ons from our part, and I hope the boys are excited to get back to training to improve even further! We’ve got a lot of potential."
