βοΈSuper proud of our players (and guest player Nat!) who put their names forward to compete at the Public Sector Pickleball Challenge 2025 at the OCBC Arena yesterday. There were 33 teams in total each with 6-8 members vying for the top spot. Therefore, what an achievement it was when our team 'MOH1', comprised mostly of Joy At The Courts players working in the public sector, managed to battle all the way to the semi-finals to emerge as the top 4 teams in the challenge. For us, it's never been about the results, but the struggle, and the bonds that are made. We've always believed in you, and we hope you leave this challenge with humility and new found confidence at the same time! π

Congratulations first and foremost, to all our club players here at Joy At The Courts, specifically John W Kan , Yenni Yap, Royson Kwan, Grace Lee, Kelvin Tay, CK Kiang, Kal Ng Wee and not forgetting Cindy Sim and yours truly who were willing to put themselves out there in battle royale mode, all for the sport that we all love and respect!!
As competition players, we know full well that for every athlete, they will lose far more often that they will win. This is the nature of any competitive sport, but we're always reminded of the Olympic creed, where the glory is not in the podium finish itself, but in the struggle to get there.
To that end, we extend our joy and happiness to our players who had to overcome many challenges, including sometimes far higher skilled players, players who had triumphed over them in earlier rounds, and very vocal home supporters who were very eager to give their views on your line calls.
Some of us went home with medals, others not, but we will all come back stronger, and even more determined to do better. Upwards and onwards, let's go next level!
