Yesterday, August, 19th 2026. Our astute chairman Kono District Football Association KDFA, Abu Mansaray, Vice chairman, Tamba Ngaujah, and Secretary General, Komba Kelvin Kembay showed up for the FA Deputy Secretary General, Tamba Komba on his sign-out at the University of Management and Technology(UNIMTECH). Their presence was a great show of leadership and support.

Following the presentation marking one year of his administration where he highlighted the achievements of his first year and outlined his strategic priorities for his second year SLFA President Babadi Kamara has announced that the upgrading of the Kono Football Field is among his key priorities in his second year.

Speaking to football stakeholders and members of the press during the presentation, President Babadi Kamara reaffirmed his commitment to improving football infrastructure across Sierra Leone, with the development of the Kono Football Field identified as one of the projects set to receive attention.

The announcement has been welcomed by football stakeholders in Kono, who view it as a significant step toward enhancing football development and creating better facilities for players, officials, and supporters in the district.

One year ago today, my executive and I made the decision to vote for Mr. Babadi Kamara as President of the Sierra Leone Football Association in Lungi.

Today, one year later, I am proud of that decision after witnessing the remarkable progress and development he has brought to Sierra Leone football in just one year.
Congratulations, Mr. President. You have made us proud, and many people are now acknowledging that we made the right choice in electing you as President of the Sierra Leone Football Association.
