One of the biggest mistakes I see women make is thinking healthy eating has to mean complicated recipes, expensive ingredients, or hours in the kitchen.

The truth? Getting enough protein can be incredibly simple.

This BLT + chicken lettuce wrap is one of my go-to meals because it’s quick, satisfying, low carb, and packed with protein.

No fancy ingredients. No complicated prep. Just real food that helps keep blood sugar stable, supports muscle, and keeps me full for hours.

As a woman in perimenopause, prioritizing protein has been one of the most powerful things I’ve done for my energy, cravings, body composition, and overall health.

Simple works. Consistency beats perfection every time.

This is easily 30g protein

Recipe:
Chicken breast,cooked + shredded
Cooked and crumbled bacon
Diced avocado
Diced tomato
Organic Romaine
Homemade Ranch dressing

I use Carb Manager to track macros but with this kind of recipe I don’t do a lot of exact measuring!!

Perimenopause and post-menopause can feel like your body is changing the rules on you — energy dips, stubborn weight, cravings, and blood sugar swings can all show up more strongly than before.

That’s where keto can be a helpful tool for some women. By focusing on stable blood sugar and fat as a fuel source, many women find fewer energy crashes, reduced cravings, and more consistent mental clarity throughout the day. It can also support appetite regulation, which becomes especially important as metabolism and hormones shift.

It’s not about restriction — it’s about giving your body a steadier, more predictable fuel source during a season when everything else feels a little less predictable.

Always listen to your body and make adjustments that fit your season of life. 💛

I’ve been living a keto lifestyle for over 10 years, and honestly, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my health.

For me, keto means stable blood sugar, clear thinking, steady energy, and freedom from the constant cycle of cravings and energy crashes. No more feeling controlled by food.

That’s why I’m always excited to find keto-friendly products with amazing ingredients that fit my lifestyle.

This recipe uses as the star ingredient, making it incredibly easy while keeping the macros on point.

Whether you’re new to keto or have been doing it for years, having convenient options on hand can make all the difference when a sweet craving hits!

If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing all the things that used to work—but the scale won’t budge—you’re not alone.

Perimenopause and menopause can feel incredibly frustrating when it comes to weight loss. The reality is that your body is changing. Hormone shifts can impact insulin sensitivity, increase inflammation, disrupt sleep, elevate stress hormones, and make it easier to store fat (especially around the midsection).

What worked in your 30s may not work in your 40s and 50s.

That’s why calorie restriction, excessive cardio, and skipping meals often backfire during this season of life. Your body needs a different approach—one that supports your hormones, stabilizes blood sugar, prioritizes protein, builds muscle, and works with your changing physiology instead of against it.

The good news? Weight loss is still possible.

You don’t need to starve yourself, spend hours in the gym, or accept that gaining weight is “just part of aging.” You need the right strategy and support.

If you’re tired of feeling confused about your hormones, metabolism, and weight loss, I’d love to help. Inside my membership, you’ll get education, coaching, meal ideas, accountability, and a community of women navigating the exact same challenges.

You are entirely up to you!

Better isn’t something you find—it’s something you choose. Every day, it’s up to you.

If you’re trying to eat more protein, stop overcomplicating it.

You don’t need fancy recipes, expensive supplements, or hours of meal prep.

My go-to protein staples are:
✔️Eggs + egg whites
✔️Greek yogurt (plain, high-protein)
✔️Cottage cheese
✔️Bone broth Protein powder
✔️Smoked salmon
✔️Tuna packets
✔️Chicken salad made with ✔️Sausage dogs
✔️Turkey roll-ups
✔️Grilled chicken salads
✔️Taco bowls
✔️Chicken thighs or breasts
✔️Steak
✔️Shrimp
✔️Beef sticks
✔️Jerky
✔️Cheese sticks

The key is having protein available and building every meal around it.

For many women in midlife, simply increasing protein can help support muscle, metabolism, blood sugar balance, satiety, and healthy aging.

Start small:
🥚 Add eggs to breakfast
🥤 Have a bone broth protein shake after your workout
🍗 Build lunch around a protein source first

Small changes add up.

People think perimenopause and menopause are just about hot flashes. However, so many women deal with way more symptoms like brain fog, disrupted sleep, anxiety, depression, inflammation, exhaustion, and struggling just to get through the day.

As a hormone health coach, I see these things every day in my clients. I’ve also experienced firsthand how hormonal imbalances can impact energy, focus, motivation, and overall quality of life.

The thing is perimenopause and menopause are not being talked about in the workplace!

Women deserve support, understanding, and the freedom to prioritize their health without stigma or fear of being judged. That’s why I’m supporting Menopause Time Off (MTO) and helping bring awareness to the very real impact hormonal changes can have on working women.

If you believe women should have better workplace support during perimenopause and menopause, sign the Menopause Time Off Declaration through the link in my bio (and check out the grant there as well)! It’s time to start the conversation. 💜

I love the calm and cozy feeling candles bring to my day, but I’ve become so picky about ingredients. So many candles are filled with synthetic fragrances and toxins that can impact hormones, trigger headaches, and add to our body’s toxic load. ☠️

I recently came across and love how intentional she is with her 100% pure beeswax candles and essential oils.

Clean ingredients matter, especially in a world where our hormones are already under enough stress. 🤍✨
