Is your swimmer ready to get faster, or do they need stronger fundamentals first? 🏊♀️💙
For many intermediate swimmers, speed feels like the next big goal. But before racing the clock, swimmers need to build the skills that actually make speed possible: better stroke mechanics, a stronger kick, cleaner turns, and endurance that holds up when they get tired.
Our latest blog breaks down what intermediate swimmers should focus on before speed, and why strong fundamentals can help your child avoid plateaus, build confidence, and keep improving in the water.
If your swimmer can swim laps but still needs help becoming smoother, stronger, and more efficient, this one is for you.

Happy Caribbean American Heritage Month! 💙🌊
This June, we celebrate the rich history, culture, creativity, and contributions of Caribbean Americans throughout the DMV and across the country.
This month is especially meaningful to our WeAquatics story. Our founder, David Worrell, spent part of his childhood in St. Lucia, where he swam for the national team and continued building the love for swimming that would later shape WeAquatics.
Our swim community is made stronger by the diverse families, swimmers, instructors, and neighbors who bring their stories, traditions, and joy into every space we share.
This month, we honor Caribbean American heritage and celebrate the stories, culture, and community that continue to inspire us in and out of the water.
