CH Fitness and Performance provides expert Olympic-style weightlifting instruction and coaching to create optimum fitness and enhance athletic performance. CH Fitness and Performance was founded by US Olympian and USAW International Coach Cara Heads Slaughter and offers an extensive menu of coaching services and educational programs to meet each individual's specific goals- for the person interested in learning weightlifting, for elite athletes and experienced coaches, and for everyone in between! Designated by USA Weightlifting as a Community Development Training Site since 2019, our 7200 sq. training facility provides a weightlifting training area with 13 platforms; 4 dedicated pulling block stations, 2 dedicated jerk block stations, a 24 feet-long wall-mounted rig, 30 yards of turf for agility training, Rogue Concept Rower and Echo bikes, dumbbells, kettlebells, med balls, and other strength and conditioning equipment. Our greatest asset and resource is our team of dedicated coaches. We are committed to and exemplify a core belief that teaching proper technique combined with a thoughtful approach to planning weightlifting training is essential to optimum performance on the platform. 2026 WIZZOS RECAP: Another incredible weekend of our squad competing alongside and gathering with the DMV weightlifting community at this year's DMV WSO Championships in Suffolk, Virginia.

A huge amount of thanks to the DMV WSO board and to the volunteers for their tireless efforts in making this such a worthwhile event each year. It is seen and greatly appreciated. 👏🏽👏🏽 DMV Weightlifting State Organization

DMVWSO FLASH REPORT: Erika Faust and Jana Berhow both delivered solid performances on the platform today at the DMV WSO Championships.

Erika, competing in the Open 86 kg, was good on five of her six attempts with a best lift of 50 kg in the sn**ch and a personal best 64 kg in the clean and jerk. Erika's 114 kg total was also a new competition best.

Scoreboard: 48-50-×52*/58-61-64*/114*

Jana came to this competition intending to use it as a "train-through" meet and left with a Gold medal. Jana also was good on 5 of 6 attempts and finished with best lifts of 40 kg on the sn**ch and 48 kg in the clean and jerk. Jana's 88 kg total earned top DMV WSO honors in the W55/86+ class.

Grant [95 kg] was perfect on all attempts with FOUR attempts being new personal bests. Grant finshed with a PR sn**ch at 109 kg, a PR 148 kg clean and jerk, adding 8kg to his competition best total! Grant's 257 kg total earned Bronze in the Open 95 kg class.

Congrats to Laura Godfrey and Chelsea Eskridge who earned medals at the DMV WSO Championships today in Suffolk, Virginia. Both competed in thw W35/69 kg class with Laura taking Silver and Chelsea finishing with Bronze.

Laura went 3for3 in the sn**ch, capped with a personal best 60 kg. She followed with 81 kg in the clean and for a 141 kg total and a 2nd place finish.

Scoreboard: 56-58-60*/×81-81-85/141 🥈

Chelsea looked terrific making all six attempts to finish with top lifts of 42 kg in the sn**ch and 55 kg in the clean and jerk. Chelsea's 97 kg total notched a 3rd place finish.
