Okay… you’ve scrolled through countless workouts.

You’ve saved dozens of recipes.

You’ve watched the videos, followed the influencers, thought about starting, planned what you were going to do…

And somehow, it’s already October.

And you still haven’t really made it happen.

I see you.

And I don’t think you need another workout to save.

You probably just made it too complicated in your mind.

Those flashy workouts, beautiful influencers and complicated moves might look cool—but have they actually gotten you off the couch?

If not, you don’t need a better workout.

You need a simpler plan.

A plan so simple that it’s almost hard to say no to.

And no, it probably won’t be flashy.
It won’t be trendy.
It might not look particularly cool on Instagram.

But you know what?

It works—because you’ll actually do it.

Pick 5–6 basic exercises.

A squat.
A lunge.
A push.
A pull.
A press.
A little core.

Do 10–12 reps.

Repeat it 2–3 times.

Done.

You can make it more interesting later.

Right now, your job is simply to give yourself evidence that you can say you’re going to do something—and then actually show up and do it.

So please don’t save this for Monday.

Don’t wait for the perfect program.

Don’t wait until you feel motivated.

Start today.

Start simple.

Start right where you are.

Okay... Thursday's post made me realize, after talking to a few people, that either I didn't make my point very well...

Or the point got a little lost somewhere in my very long perimenopause story. 😂

So today I'm going to try something different and actually get to the point EARLIER. 😂

Yes — perimenopause and menopause symptoms are real.

And let me tell you... it's one thing to know about them, read about them, hear other women talk about them...

And another thing entirely to experience them firsthand. 😂

That was part of my point.

Lower energy is real.

Lower motivation can be real.

Things can feel harder than they used to.

BUT...

The second part of my point was that having those symptoms doesn't mean we abandon ourselves.

Yes, we adjust.

But maybe this is exactly the time when we learn to rely a little LESS on motivation and a little MORE on our habits, our accountability, our discipline and our WHY.

Can it be harder?

ABSOLUTELY!!!

Who said it was going to be easy? 😂

And this is also where compassion for ourselves matters.

Maybe we adjust the intensity.

Maybe the workout is shorter.

Maybe we change the frequency.

We prioritize sleep and recovery.

Nutrition becomes even more important.

We listen to our bodies and work WITH them instead of constantly fighting them.

But we still show up.

Maybe differently.

Maybe with less enthusiasm some days. 😂

Maybe not at the intensity we did 10 or 20 years ago.

But we show up.

Because when motivation isn't as strong as it used to be, that's when the habits we've built, the accountability we've created, our schedule, our WHY and yes... a little discipline... matter even more.

That's it. That's the point. 😂

And look at me getting there much faster this time. 🤣❤️

Saturday morning fun with Stephanie 😍

We have a lot of women coming to us in their 50s, 60s and beyond who are thinking about their bone health.

And often, there’s a reason.

They watched their mom or grandmother fall and break a hip, pelvis or vertebra.

They watched someone who had been independent suddenly need surgery, hospitalization and rehab. Sometimes they never fully regained the independence they had before that fall.

And it’s scary.

Most of us have heard by now that **strength and resistance training are important for our bones.**

And they absolutely are.

Bones respond to mechanical loading. Muscle pulling on bone, resistance training, impact when appropriate, and progressively challenging the body all provide signals that help maintain strong bones.

But that is only part of the story.

We also need the raw materials to support bone and muscle — **enough protein, calcium, vitamin D and enough overall nutrition.**

And there’s another piece we don't talk about nearly enough:

**What caused the fall in the first place?**

Can your body recover when you lose your balance?

Can you react quickly when you trip?

Can you step in another direction without freezing?

Can your feet, hips, trunk and arms coordinate quickly enough to catch you?

That’s why training for healthy aging shouldn't only be about lifting weights.

We train **balance. Coordination. Reaction. Changes of direction. Mobility. Power. And, when appropriate, jumping and other impact activities.**

We use complex movements that require the brain and body to work together.

Because the goal isn't simply to build stronger bones so they can better survive a fall.

**We want to build a body that is better at preventing the fall in the first place.**

A body that can react to the unexpected.

A body with the mobility to move, the strength to catch itself, the power to respond quickly, and the balance and coordination to recover.

**Strengthen the bones. But also train the person carrying them. ❤️**

If you're worried about your bone health or you've been diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis, **don't wait. You can change the trajectory of how you age NOW
