Your Next Sponsor Might Be Right Down the Street

This is an approach that I am particularly bullish on. Far too many racers keep going to the same industry well, looking for more support when there is a much larger and frankly beneficial support opportunity that is overlooked. This article will help you find these relationships.

Walk past a Little League field and look at the names on the outfield fence. The pizza shop. The landscaping company. The local dentist. The auto repair shop. Those same types of businesses belong on your sponsorship prospect list.

You don’t need to be a national champion to give a local business a reason to support your racing. You need to understand its customers, represent it well, and put together a plan that makes the relationship worthwhile.

The question to answer before approaching anyone is simple: What can I do to help this business succeed?

Englishtown Race of Champions 2026 – Privateer Photo Gallery

With the national series behind us, many privateers look to regional featured events to earn racing income and finish their season. The 50th annual Race of Champions, sponsored by Kawasaki, occurred at Old Bridge Township’s Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ. The infamous KROC has seen privateer and pro racers compete each year, and 2026 was no exception. Bryton Carroll won the Open A class, and Gavin Betts won the 250 A class.

Mayla Herrick Signs with SLR Honda Through 2028

Marshal Weltin ends his professional motocross career. Congratulations 🏁 👏

- Twelve years of professional motocross. I honestly had no clue what I was getting myself into when I started this journey, but I wouldn’t trade a single second of it. It’s been a hell of a run, and I’m proud of everything I’ve accomplished. As a kid, I never thought any of this was possible—even as an adult, it felt surreal sometimes. I’m living proof of what happens when you believe in yourself and put in the work. Thank you all. I’m hanging it up after last weekend. see you around ✌️
