Hello HVTC Members,

I’m so excited to introduce myself as the new Pro Shop Manager at Huron Valley Tennis Club.

Many of you already know me from around the club. I’ve been a member of HVTC for the past 10 years and have loved being part of this incredible tennis community. During that time, I worked my way up from B3 to B1 and currently play on multiple USTA teams.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Jon and we have two boys, JP-23 and Tyler-20. Tennis has been a lifelong part of my family. My father was a teaching pro, my mother was hitting partners with Chrissie Evert, and my grandfather owned and operated Towpath Racquet Club in Akron, Ohio, where I spent many summers helping with clinics and learning about the game. I played varsity tennis in high school, then stepped away from the sport for many years while focusing on my career and family. When I returned to tennis, I quickly rediscovered my passion for the game.

As a longtime HVTC member, I’ve built lasting friendships through tennis and developed a deep appreciation for this community. Now that my two sons are grown, I’m excited to devote more time to the sport I love and to helping make HVTC the very best club in Ann Arbor.

I look forward to getting to know even more of our members, hearing your ideas, and creating a pro shop experience that serves our amazing tennis community.

A huge congrats to our competitors that made our Memorial Day tournament such a success. Thanks to all the parents for the great support. Thank you to Max for supervising. And a special thanks to Emily, Mike, Tiffany, Ross, and Drew with all the help setting up on the logistics side. It was a bit hot at times, but all of the kids fought very hard. Hopefully we can do it again next year!

A reminder that we have our Memorial Day Tournament for the juniors starting tomorrow. There are still a couple spots left for our Tuesday session (tomorrow), the Tournament Prep edition at 4:30! Sign up closes today at 4:30!

The Thursday Night Men’s Singles League gave out some special awards. Good job on a fun and successful season!

Been a long time coming, but we finally got some new cardio equipment looking out over Court 2.

Hi Everyone,

Coach Nick here with a quick update. I’m sharing this today so no one thinks I’m playing an April Fools' joke tomorrow, but I have officially decided to hand over the club stringing responsibilities to our new pro, Anthony.

Between stringing for 15 years at HVTC and 27 in total, it’s been a long and rewarding run. I’m truly grateful to everyone who has trusted me with your rackets over the years. Making this transition means I can spend better hours with you all on the court and have more focused time with my family at home.

Anthony is taking the reins with a lot of energy and skill. Whether you need a specific string, a new grip, or custom specs, you’re in great hands. I’ll be working closely with him during the handoff to ensure he gets to know our members' preferences as well as I do.

I’m still a racket and string nerd at heart, so feel free to ask questions anytime. See you on the court!

IMPORTANT NOTICE - CLUB CLOSED TODAY 2/20 THROUGH SUNDAY 2/22 URGENT
Due to a plumbing emergency, the club will be closed Fri Feb 20 - Sun Feb 22. All courts, lessons, and programs have been cancelled.
Any pre-paid fees will be refunded and any charges will be removed.
As of now, the club will re-open on Mon Feb 23.
If anything changes, we will send communication. For any emergent questions, please email: [email protected]. We will not be at the club to answer calls. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience.
