We are officially one month away from The Studio Centre’s Nutcracker Auditions. Mark your calendars and check out all the details below!

We will be performing our re-imagined production of The Nutcracker at the beautiful Milan High School.
Dates: December 18 & 19
Performances: Two shows @ 7:00PM
Casting & Participation: Our production has a place for all of our talented dancers. This year’s Nutcracker is open to:
    •    Dancers in Pre-Ballet (Kindergarten) and above, who have been in a recital before.
    •    Adult dancers currently training en pointe.
    •    Adult Acting Roles: We have a limited number of spots available for adults interested in acting roles for our festive Party Scene!
    •    All youth dancer’s enrolled at The Studio Centre will be cast in the production.

Auditions: Auditions: Sunday, September 13
    •    1:00-1:45PM Pre Ballet
    •    2:00-2:45PM Level 1
    •    3:00-4:00PM Level 2&3
    •    5:15-6:15PM Level 4&5
    •    7:00-7:30PM Beginner Adults (acting roles)
    •    7:30 - 8:45PM Level 6 & Advance Adults (en pointe and male dancers)

Rehearsals will take place at The Studio Centre on Sundays between 1:00 - 4:00pm. Leading up to our performances, we will have rehearsals on week days in the evening. A detailed rehearsal chart will be announced very soon!

We are hiring a new dance teacher!
Job description:
The Studio Centre is looking for a passionate and experienced dance teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ballet along with a variety of styles, including, tap, jazz, and hip-hop. The teacher will also be responsible for creating and choreographing dance routines.

Responsibilities:
Tuesdays
Creative Movement (ages 3-5): 4:45 – 5:15 PM
Pre-Ballet (ages 5-6): 5:15 – 5:45 PM
Pre-Tap (ages 5-6): 5:45 – 6:15 PMTap Level 1: 6:15 – 6:45 PM
Thursdays
Ballet Level 1 (ages 7-10): 5:00 – 5:45 PM
Jazz Level 1 (ages 7-10): 5:45 – 6:15 PM
    •    Teach dance classes to students of all ages and levels
    •    Create and choreograph dance routines
    •    Assess student progress and provide feedback
    •    Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
    •    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
    •    Bachelor’s degree in dance or a related field
    •    3+ years of experience teaching dance
    •    Strong understanding of dance technique
    •    Ability to teach a variety of dance styles
    •    Ability to create and choreograph dance routines
    •    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    •    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

TSC is a technical dance studio providing a dance education in the Ann Arbor, MI area. Our goal at TSC is to provide our students with a fun and supportive environment where they can learn and grow as dancers.

Registration opens for returning dancers July 31st at 9:00am.
New dancers can register on August 1st at 9:00am.
