The Rowing Network came out to Michigan to get a behind the scenes look at the Kathryn Bennett Race Course, which was built up and lead by our Executive Director, Kit Bennett.

They focused in on the behind the scenes, because venue stories are well known across the rowing world, events that live because of the people behind it, the ones in the middle of everything.

Great to catch up, and see our Canley Camp alumna training with , while completing professional development in Seattle. ‘19, ‘22, Jane Doyle ‘23 (SelDev), ‘22, ‘23, .cr ‘25, ‘25 and ‘25.

Now our middle schoolers are heading back out in a few weeks for spring rowing.

Today we celebrate girls and women in sport and the spaces made better for their presence. The confidence they’ve built through hard work, the community created through shared goals, and the lessons that carry far beyond the water. We thank them for their tireless contributions to our program and their never ending enthusiasm for our sport. Proud to celebrate the women of WRC.🧜‍♀️🔱
