In Liberia today, it’s becoming more common to see male comedians dress and act like women for entertainment and social media fame. While everyone has the right to their creative choices, I personally don’t believe this is the best example for the younger generation watching.

You can still be funny, talented, creative, and successful without pretending to be another gender. Sadly, now that big brand deals, popularity, and money are being attached to this trend, many upcoming young male comedians may start believing this is the only way to become famous or relevant.

We must be careful what we normalize in our society. The enemy is very cunning, and not every trend should be celebrated simply because it is popular. Liberia needs role models who can entertain while still embracing their true identity. Let’s stay discerning and not ignore the subtle tricks being pushed through entertainment.

In a world focused on possessions, status, and achievements, may we never forget what truly matters.
At the end of the day, it’s the love we gave, the lives we touched, and the character we carried that will leave a lasting legacy.
