Healthy marriages need regular checkups—not just emergency repairs.

Take a moment to ask your spouse:

👉🏽What feels strong between us?

👉🏽What feels strained?

👉🏽What do you need more of from me?

Then listen without interrupting, becoming defensive, or trying to prove your point. Listen to understand your spouse’s heart.

Small, honest conversations today can prevent greater emotional distance tomorrow.

A strong marriage is not a marriage without problems. It is a marriage where both people are willing to recognize the problems and work through them together.

Whatever you are facing today, take it to the Lord . He cares, He listens, and nothing is impossible for Him. 🙏🏾❤️

Sometimes when a husband tells his wife, “You’re boring,” I don’t believe the real issue is always that she has become boring.

Sometimes, he has simply stopped making room for her.

If you can sit on the phone for hours talking, laughing, listening, and enjoying conversations with other people—or spend hours watching television—but when your wife wants to sit with you, talk to you, or have your attention, you become irritated or uninterested, there is a problem.

Your wife is not always going to agree with everything you say. She is her own person. Marriage does not mean she has to agree with you just to keep you interested in her.

And husbands, be careful when you start enjoying everybody else’s company—or your phone and television—more than you enjoy spending time with your wife.

When everyone and everything else gets your laughter, your patience, your conversations, your attention, and your time, while your wife constantly gets the distracted or irritated version of you, emotional distance can slowly begin to grow in your marriage.

Then, when she finally complains about feeling neglected, calling her “boring” only makes the distance worse.

As a relationship coach, I believe this is something couples should pay attention to. It doesn’t automatically mean a man is cheating or that he no longer loves his wife. But when a spouse consistently prefers the phone, television, other people, or other distractions instead of connecting with their partner, something in the marriage needs attention.

Sometimes a woman isn’t complaining because she wants to control you.

She’s complaining because she misses you.

She misses talking to you.

She misses laughing with you.

She misses sitting together without competing with a phone or television.

She misses feeling like you actually enjoy being around her.

Don’t wait until your wife becomes quiet and stops asking for your attention before you realize she has been feeling alone while sitting right beside you.

Marriage needs friendship too.

Turn the television off sometimes. Put the phone down. Talk. Laugh. Listen. Date each other again. Remember why you once enjoyed each other’s company so much.

Because in marriage, emotional disconnection can begin long before physical separation.

Don’t give everyone—and everything else—the best of you and expect your marriage to survive on what’s left.

Today, we proudly honor the Lone Star—a symbol of our freedom, courage, unity, and national pride.

As we celebrate, may we remember that the strength of Liberia is found not only in our flag, but in our commitment to building a better nation for our children and generations to come.

May the Lone Star continue to wave over a Liberia filled with peace, justice, unity, and hope.

Happy Flag Day to all Liberians at home and across the world! 🇱🇷❤️💙🤍

Kindness costs nothing, but it can mean everything to someone.

A simple smile, an encouraging word, helping someone in need, or showing compassion can make a difference we may never fully understand. We never truly know what another person is carrying, so let us choose to be kind.

In a world where people are quick to judge, choose kindness. Choose compassion. Choose love.

The smallest act of kindness can leave the biggest impact. Be the reason someone still believes there are good people in this world.

“Be kind and compassionate to one another.” — Ephesians 4:32

A nation cannot thrive when corruption is tolerated and accountability is ignored. Real progress is built on integrity, justice, transparency, and leaders who put the people before personal interests.

Liberia has the potential to achieve greater things, but lasting change requires all of us—leaders and citizens alike—to uphold the values that strengthen our institutions and protect our future.

Let’s choose integrity over corruption and service over self-interest.

🇱🇷 Liberia deserves good governance.
