510 people had dreams of leaving CKNA Grands X as the winner of the biggest 4 stroke race in the world. 9 would leave with that title. 45 left with trophies. The rest of us left with the continued dreams of one day reaching victory.
We had gone into our first Grand Nats very optimistic. We know Weston is a good driver and this race is exactly what he needed to push him a little further.
We had a goal of top 10 and showed promise in reaching that goal. Weston drove hard and managed to keep his kart in one piece all weekend. He pushed himself, stayed focused, and continued to give his best all weekend.
With only driving at NCMP one other time (different layout) he adapted to the track well. Unfortunately we were unable to find a draft to stay in contention with the leaders, and was stuck in separate battles behind the front pack. Working together and racing smart is imperative to be able to hit the steps on the podium.
We are very greatful to have the opportunity to enter a race at such a large scale. It was a blast, from start to finish. We believe that one day Weston will achieve his dream of being a national champion.

Weston made it up to 11th and fell back down the ranks after avoiding a wreck in front of him. Ending our weekend at 16th out of 40.
Weston also received his honors from winning CKNA North division over the summer, with a trophy and prizes.
Pete decided to join in some fun by entering the Out Of The Box engine building challenge. Thank you Brayden of BST Racing for inviting us to participate. It was a highlight of our weekend.
Thank you to New Gen Motorsport for making our first tent/team experience one to remember. We appreciate your entire team and the hard work you put into your drivers.
Finally thank you to Dan Barr for keeping our driver safe 🍀 and for your ever continuing support and advice no matter where we're at. Were glad to have you as a friend.
