We’re excited to welcome to the coaching staff at TWA!

Hunter brings high level experience:

• 2x Pennsylvania State Champion
• 2019 U.S. Cadet World Team Member
• 4x NCAA Qualifier
• 2x NCAA Blood Round Finisher
• Competed at Virginia Tech before finishing his career at Rutgers University

Hunter will be supporting our practices, tournaments, and strength & conditioning program, with a primary focus on developing upper weights. If you know a heavyweight looking to take their wrestling to the next level, send them to train with Coach Catka at TWA!

Beyond wrestling, Hunter is a man of strong faith who leads by example. His relationship with Jesus Christ is the foundation of who he is, and we’re excited for the impact he’ll make on and off the mat.

Some athletes leave with wins. Some leave with a legacy.

Yesterday was Gabe Rogers’ final practice at TWA before beginning the next chapter at Binghamton University, where he’ll continue his wrestling career and further his education.

Gabe has been with us since the very beginning of TWA in 2024. He helped establish the standard for what this program represents, becoming our first high school state champion and finishing his career in dominant fashion as a 2x North Carolina State Champion.

But the accomplishments only tell part of the story.

Gabe has been a leader on and off the mat, an incredible teammate, a dedicated student, and someone who consistently showed up with humility, character, integrity, and an unmatched commitment to improving every single day. He made everyone around him better.

Because of the impact he’s had on our program, we’re proud to introduce the Gabe Rogers Award.

Each year, this award will be presented to a TWA athlete who embodies the qualities Gabe demonstrated every day: an unwavering drive to improve, relentless work ethic, leadership, academic excellence, strong character, and integrity.

That legacy will continue long after his final practice.

Gabe, thank you for believing in this program from day one and for helping build the culture that makes our club what it is today. The best is still ahead, and we can’t wait to watch you continue to grow as both a wrestler and a person.

No matter where wrestling takes you, TWA will always be in your corner.
