TWA crew made the trek to the Grappler Fall Classic in Sandusky, Ohio over the weekend, coming away with four national placers against quality competition.

• Dash Carlton - 8th, K-4
• Troy Scott - 4th, K-4
• Shiloh Carlton - 3rd, Girls K-4
• Rocco Esposito - 4th, Middle School

This was a great opportunity to see where our athletes are, learn from each match, and keep making adjustments throughout the season.

And of course, we had to make a little time for Cedar Point.

Back to work.

🟡 CODE YELLOW 🟡

It was a pleasure to have Thomas Gantt Jr in to coach our code yellow practice for September. Tommy is a former NC state All American and current MMA professional in the UFC. He is exactly the caliber of person that we strive to expose our students to in the most difficult of practices.

Two TWA athletes had the opportunity to compete in NC Tournament of Champions this past weekend, where the top 8 wrestlers in each weight class across North Carolina competed.

Adam Walker finished 4th at 125, earning Match of the tournament for his third place bout.

Josh Stonebraker finished 1st at 157 in dominant fashion, winning by two technical falls and a major decision in the finals.

Proud of these two and hats off to NC United for putting together a great tournament!
