This might be the easiest bikepacking setup I’ve ever packed.
After thousands of kilometres of bike travel, I’ve learned that a good packing system isn’t just about carrying gear, it’s about making every stop and every morning pack up way more fun, and way less of a hassle.
For the Great Divide, I’m running a fully waterproof setup.
This is my first time using Old Man Mountain racks and bags, and the biggest surprise has been how easy they are to pack, unpack, attach and remove.
My favourite piece? The Manzanita Cradle + handlebar bag combo.
The bag hangs from the cradle via little loops while you tighten the straps, so you’re not doing the classic “balance the bag on your knee and wrestle with buckles” move.
This seemingly small detail makes a HUGE difference while packing up in the morning.
I’m also carrying:
* OMM 12L Atlas Rack Pack for food, sandals and kitchen gear
Some sections of the Divide have 3-day food carries and extended water carries, so it's nice to know I have tons of space for all the snacks and water.
* OMM 7L Hemlock rear panniers for my sleep kit, tent and water filter
* Rockgeist 52Hz roll-top frame bag for tools, electronics, first aid and random things
* Rockgeist Honeypot feed bags for snacks, toiletries and everyday items + the innovative Spacelink for a more stable cockpit
* Two OMM flip cages on the front fork to carry extra water bottles for the long dry stretches
* OMM Elkhorn Rack to attach the Atlas Rack pack + Flip Cages + Panniers (such a smooth system)
There are some super rough, rowdy and remote stretches on this trail, so knowing the rack and bags are going to hold up (and hold on) is also crucial to my peace of mind.
So far, I am really impressed with the sturdiness and ease of use of this set up 🤘🏼
If you want the full gear list + links to every bag, rack, and cage in this setup, comment PACK and we’ll send it over. 🚴♀️

Prepping for our annual ORAMM pre-ride. Saturday, (and friends) will be riding the 2026 ORAMM route and sharing previews of the new route and the incredible scenes throughout Pisgah’s Grandfather District.
The Cotic Solaris is setup for long rides and gravel roads but can still rip singletrack. It’s been purpose built for long rides in Pisgah like a self supported ORAMM ride (62 miles / 8,400 ft.)

The Little Dumpling 2.0 has arrived! This version of the Little Dumpling has all the features of our Big Dumpling but in a smaller package.
A few months ago Hannah made her own custom little dumpling that included the same waist compression straps and daisy chain found on the big dumpling. The resulting bag was so comfortable and good looking that we decided to incorporate these changes into all future little dumplings.
The added compression straps allow you to fine tune the fit of the bag and offers a more snug fit when carrying heavy objects. The new daisy chain is the perfect spot to clip a blinkie light or carabiner to your bag.
We love these new updates and hope you do too! Little Dumpling 2.0 is available now for purchase on our website.
Close up of the new woodland camo tactical x50. This is one of our favorites, it’s got a really clean weave to it and great body to pair with the durability. We have the tactical line in other colors too; khaki, ranger green, and black. 🧡🧡🧡

The other week we added some new colors to microwave panniers. And for the first time ever, you can mix and match your drybags with your holsters. You can also purchase just the holsters, or just drybags. We have more colors in the works, but you can find these on our universal bag page. ♥️💙♥️💙
Still the original, still made in USA in Asheville.

Since we got our hands on the new HyperTEC™ UX10 fabric a few months ago, Hannah and Greg have been testing it on their own frame bags and have been very happy with its feather light weight and durability.
Since its arrival at Rockgeist, HyperTEC™ is now the lightest pack fabric we carry weighing 2.5 oz/yd! Built from a 100% woven Ultra-PE face, an Ultra-PE X-ply mid-layer, and a waterproof inner film, HyperTEC™ UX10 is the perfect choice if you are looking for the lightest possible framebag for your bike.
HyperTEC™ UX10 and HyperTEC™ UX10 ST is now available for your custom framebags under the Ultra-PE category on our website.
The shock cord closure on the big and little dumpling are very secure and excellent at keeping contents safe and dry. Even if you accidentally wear your bag upside down!

Love these orange cam buckles for our foxglove saddle bag. These buckles pop against the white ultra 400 fabric (). I think we have just 1 more set of these to add to a build if you wanted orange. You’ll see a link on the foxglove product page to add them. 🧡🧡🧡🧡
