The Aspen Recreation Center, also known as the “ARC”, provides a variety of recreational opportunities for people of all ages. Try rock climbing for the first time, join a pick-up game of hockey, learn to ice skate, try pickelball, attend dance or karate classes, take swim lessons or just kick back and float for hours in our lazy river. Enjoy our state-of-the-art fitness center featuring an aerobic studio, a media-enhanced cardio room, and weight room. Our cardio room includes elliptical trainers, treadmills, several types of stationary bikes, and a stair climber each with its own television so you can enjoy your favorite shows while you work out. The weight room includes a wide variety of different resistance machines for toning and strengthening each part of your body. Or swim in one of Aspen's only indoor lap pools.

The ARC will re-open October 1 and there are lots of things happening this upcoming Fall season. Fitness Classes, Swim Classes, Lap Swimming, Sauna, Hot Tub, Water Slide, Public Skate, Hockey and so much more!

-Swim Lessons for all ages are back! Including a Level 5 Swim class ( pre swim team preperation)
-The Aspen Community Picnic, with free food for the first 750 people, will be held at the Aspen Historical Society Lawn on October 3rd.
-Girls' Basketball for 3&4 and 5&6th grades starts October 19
-Drop-In Water Polo will be held in the ARC pool on Tuesdays @ 6PM
-Adult Hockey Leagues - Registration opens soon Season Starts Nov 1 ( Men's, A, B, C & D leagues)
-Trunk or Treat will be held at the ARC parking lot Wednesday October 28
And Fall Break Camp is open for registration ( held Oct 13-17)

A huge thank you to everyone who made the 2026 Mactoberfest a huge success. To all the restaurants who worked created some amazing dishes and then gave out thousands of tastes to all you hungry cheese enthusiasts. To the city staff and volunteers and the MOTHER PUCKERS for keeping our thirst at bay. And of course a big thank you to you, the cheese lovers, who came out and made it another September to remember.
Congrats to the winners, Lola 41 and the crowd favorite Meat & Cheese
It was an incredibly close deliberation so a huge kudos to the other teams who brought some amazing concoctions.

THE ARC's Last day is this Sunday, August 30, before we close for annual maintenance. We will return to normal hours October 1, with a full facility opening, including the long awaited return of the Aquatics Center.
Swim lessons, lap lanes, hot tub, sauna, lazy river and water slide are back this October!
