Get Up And Dance

Thank you so much for your patience, it’s terrible when these things are outside of my control and completely unrelated to Dance. But we have good plans in the making for a better space with none of these issues! Classes will continue in the regular student location once the air-conditioning is resumed

Group classes are unfortunately cancelled tonight and tomorrow- the AC isn’t working 😕 terribly sorry for the inconvenience- we are on the hunt for the next better space for all of us. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience!

For the Broadway fans! Enjoy this jazz-based class with a great warm up, technical exercises, and a fun combo to tie it all together!

Wednesday, May 27th, 7:30-8:30 p.m, TANGO
Time to learn one of the most popular and elegant ballroom dances there is! This is a great and beautiful dance to have in your toolbox for that next GUAD social..GREAT to teach leading and following, sign up now, no partner needed!

Thursday, May 28th, 7:30-8:30 p.m, "RAICES ON2" INTRO TO SALSA ON2
Most salsa classes teach you steps. This one teaches you the music.
Raíces On2 is an 8-week salsa fundamentals program rooted in New York On2 timing — the style built on the clave, the heartbeat of Afro-Caribbean music. No style rotations. No starting over. Just one foundation, built week by week, until the 2 stops feeling like a count and starts feeling like home.

Saturday, May 30th 10:30-11:45 a.m, BEGINNER BALLET
Start your Saturday off the best way with a beginner friendly welcoming and fun ballet class! You will get a condensed ballet class in an hour and fifteen minutes, full of fundamentals, strengthening, and awesome brain activity for coordination! See you at the barre.

Saturday, May 30th 7-9:30 p.m GUAD MAY MASQUERADE
Time to commemorate and celebrate our love of dance together with a masquerade!
Once a month, we all get together in the Get Up and Dance Studio for one of Atlanta’s only multi genre dance social! You will hear music being played to represent all partnership dance styles, including waltz, cha cha cha, salsa, bachata, foxtrot, rumba, tango, hustle, swing, and so much more!
There will be a waltz pre-party group class before the social, from 7-8 p.m.
Only $10/per person to come, it’s a social for everyone, regardless of level of experience. Plenty of parking, BYOB, and bring your ready-to-dance selves!

Sunday, May 31st, 5-6:30 p.m CATCH THE CHOREO!

Join in this 1.5 hr class to get a great leg up to memorizing dance quicker and better! Don't wait for that next audition- we will be doing not one but TWO musical theatre combos, and we will have a great time. Sign up now!

Get ready for the GUAD Latin Dance Social (https://www.facebook.com/share/1BsFopib8y/) happening this Friday 5/22 at 8 p.m. We will be dancing to some awesome music to Latin dance styles across the board, including salsa, bachata, and cha cha! You can kick off the evening with a special cha cha class at 8 p.m taught by GUAD Studio Owner Leah, then stick around for social dancing with music by DJ Vic! Perfect for dancers of all levels, bring your friends and get ready to dance.

The monthly GUAD Latin Dance Social- feels like home!
Once a month, we all get together in the Get Up and Dance Studio for a fun night of Latin dancing! This event will be specially DJ'd by DJ Vic with all the best Latin music, complete with snacks, decor, and vibes!
You will hear music being played to represent all of your favorite Latin dances, including SALSA, BACHATA, and CHA CHA CHA! Starting with a fiery cha cha class at 8 p.m, no pre-registration required, and no partner necessary.
