It’s been 11 YEARS since Austin hosted a crit outside of the Driveway. After months of meetings with the city, we’ve secured a incredible course down in Onion Creek, just 5 miles from downtown.

Many of you may have raced the Wednesday Worlds fake race that was hosted down there during the dark days of no Driveway in 2022. The race is now legit, with closed roads, race motors, food trucks, and more.

The course is 1.15 miles, 7 turns, 0ft of elevation and running it both directions over the two days. AND YES THERE WILL BE A FIXED GEAR CRIT.

Thousands of dollars of primes and prizes, and bracketed prize money based on registration. The more people that register, the more podium cash is on the line. But I’ll say that the minimum prize for the pros is $1000.

We know, IT’S HOT.

Thankfully we have , and now served ICE COLD. We also got some extra tents, ice socks, and a swamp cooler to help with your post race chill down.

We also want to take this time to update you on alcohol at The Driveway. We’ve been working with the property owners and unfortunately we still not cannot serve alcohol within the gates. We’ve tried numerous insurance policies and BYOB, but no luck! Good news is that the transfer of the land to the City of Austin is moving along, which will let us bring back post-race beers!
