⚠️ WARNING: NO SHOESTRING TACKLES ALLOWED.

No shying away from contact. No business decisions when it’s time to make a play.

We don’t do soft. We don’t shy away from the moment. We bring the BOOM. 💥

Everybody talks about having that dog in them.

No dogs present here. These boys got that LION in them. 🦁

Physicality isn’t just about being the biggest or strongest. It’s about having the mentality to step up, embrace contact, and finish what you started.

Different mentality. Different standard.

Focus on the process. Trust the work. Let your actions speak.

This kid is a coach’s dream. Humble, respectful, never talks back, does what he’s asked, and puts the team before himself. He doesn’t complain about his role. He just shows up, works hard, and does his job to the best of his ability.

No need for attention. No need for recognition. Just a kid who loves football, respects his coaches, supports his teammates, and takes pride in doing the little things right.

This block is a perfect example. No glory in it. Just effort, technique, and doing your job for the guy next to you.

Good coaches recognize players like this because winning football is built on guys who put the team first.

Proud of the player, but even prouder of the young man. 🏈

One of the fastest ways to get better at Jiu Jitsu is to get comfortable being uncomfortable.

A lot of people think getting better means learning more techniques. And while technique is important, knowing a move and being able to use it when things aren’t going your way are two completely different things.

You’re going to get stuck in bad positions. You’re going to deal with pressure. You’re going to have people shut down everything you’re trying to do.

That’s where a lot of the learning happens.

Instead of getting frustrated or panicking, you have to learn to slow things down, recognize what’s happening, and work through the problem in front of you.

The more time you spend working through difficult situations, the less overwhelming they become.

You start seeing things you didn’t see before. You make better decisions. You stop wasting energy, and your technique starts working because you’re actually understanding when and why to use it.

Getting good at Jiu Jitsu isn’t about never being in bad situations. It’s about knowing what to do when you find yourself in one.

And that only comes from spending time there.

In Half Guard when your opponent doesn’t use a whizzer he provides a direct path to his back.
