🚫🌧️ Here is why I truly do NOT want this Nor’easter nearby this weekend.
🥎 USSSA East Coast Events has put together a big girls softball tournament here in Central Maryland.
🎗️This is all to raise awareness for Pediatric Oncology while raising money for Just In Power Kids.
👉🏻 67 teams will be competing at 4 locations this Saturday and Sunday.
😀 I’m excited to be there for the start and want the rain to miss us.
Just In Power Kids Homeruns for Hope Tournament, benefiting Just In Power Kids, a Maryland nonprofit that supports children and families facing pediatric cancer.
From Andy Wisk, one of the organizers from USSSA:
“We know pediatric cancer has touched families within our own softball community, and this weekend is our opportunity to rally around families and show them what the softball community can do. This weekend, we play for more than just softball!
Children battling pediatric cancer will be our #1 softball fans at the park and have opportunities to interact with teams throughout the weekend.
Teams will also be able to raise money directly for Just In Power Kids, with awesome prizes for our top fundraising teams.
And East Coast Events will make a donation of $50 per team on behalf of every team participating in the tournament.
So come play some great softball, help us raise some money, and most importantly, help us give these kids and their families a weekend filled with fun, love and support.
