▪️CCSS students: Discounted ticket price at gate only; MUST SHOW ID. ALL CHS STUDENTS MUST ENTER STUDENT GATE NEAR CONCESSION STAND.

Another donation, another school taking steps to keep their athletes safe. 🏈

Today, The Remy Hidalgo Foundation donated a cold water immersion tub and wet bulb globe thermometer to Central High School to help protect their athletes from exertional heat illness.

Thank you to Athletic Trainer Kacey Calabro for caring so deeply about the safety of these athletes and for making sure they have the equipment they need when every second matters.

September is a very hard month for me. It’s the month I lost Remy, to exertional heat stroke while he was doing what he loved—playing football. As we approach another anniversary of his passing, the pain is still very real. But so is the purpose behind everything we do.

What started from the worst moment of my life has turned into a mission to help protect other athletes and families from experiencing the same heartbreak.

Every cold tub, every WBGT, every conversation and every school we reach is another piece of Remy’s legacy.

We will keep going. We will keep educating. We will keep fighting to make sure no family has to hear the words I heard.

As we continue this mission, please remember to donate if you can. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us continue putting lifesaving equipment into schools and spreading awareness about heat illness.

Reminder:

In an effort to better manage the growing issues of overcrowding and solicitation at high school sporting events, CHS Football will continue to implement a media credential request process. Media credentials will be limited to bona fide media representatives. Freelance photographers or media will only be considered for passes if there are any remaining from the game allotment. Anyone who is not a bona fide media representative can potentially be eligible for passes but will be responsible for purchasing a ticket to enter the game. Bona Fide media should be prepared to show official credentials before they receive their pass at the gate.
This request is for home football games only. Requests should be submitted no later than 1 week prior to the event. CHS reserves the right to approve or deny any request. They also reserve the right to limit the number of credentials approved for an event. Approval or denial will be sent via email no later than the morning of the event.
CHS requests access to all photography/video taken during games to use for Digital Media purposes.
CHS does not allow single player shoots during the game. Photography/Videography must be for the entire team and event, not a single player.
If approval is received, the following rules must be followed. Failure to comply with these policies and procedures will result in your outlet having its credential privileges revoked for the year.
Do not enter the field of play.
Do not stand within the coaches' box.
Do not speak with any student athletes during the game for any reason.
Credentials and CHS Field Pass should be worn and displayed at all times. These credentials give you access to home sidelines and end zones.
For the Safety of our players, visiting media teams are not allowed to cross into CHS Sidelines. Visiting team Photographers must enter with their team, have tickets to enter the gates, or have had a prior request made by the visiting team's AD.
Visiting teams have the right to ask credentialed media to leave their side of the field.
