R.I.P. Captian Al

Captain Al Lorenzetti passed away on May 12, 2026. Having fished alongside his father since childhood, Al developed a profound understanding of the Great South Bay. He was a gifted communicator who was always willing to share his knowledge. Safe to say Al was an expert on striped bass and was catching stripers back in the day when they were scarce to say the least. In the 90’s Captain Al Produced a series of very popular fishing videos and in 1997 Skimmeroutdoors.com was born. Al’s client list ranged from celebrities like Kevin James and Stanly Tucci to giants in the financial world all to fish on his 1979 twenty three Mako the “Skimmer” Rest in peace Captain.
