Love this!
We're all guilty of it. We see a hunter with mismatched camo with an old single-shot 12-gauge or a old hand me down bow, and he's sporting his deer he just harvested on the back of his old truck. It's a doe or more than likely a smaller buck. But he's happy, and grinning from ear-to-ear like he just killed the new world record! So you laugh and joke with your buddies as he goes by. While leaning against your brand new truck, in your name brand matching camo. But have you ever stopped to think that maybe the deer on the back of his truck means a lot more to him than just big antlers.... maybe he's a third shift blue collar worker at the local steel mill, just trying to pay his bills and keep gas in his old truck. Maybe he don't have the fancy game cameras and big food plots that you have. Or the big fancy hunting blinds, that cost more than his old truck. Maybe he's happy because he finally didn't have to work this weekend. So he decided to go hunting on the little piece of land that he's hunted since he was a boy, with the gun that his dad gave him, or the bow he bought at a yard sale for $10.00. More than likely he's not hunting to kill the next World Record. He could care less about the antlers. But what he does care about is putting food on the table for his family at home, and knowing that they're going to eat good for now. And that my friends will put a smile on any true sportsmans face. So good luck to all the hunters out there with the rest of your season. Just remember this, support each other and be happy for each other, no matter how big their harvest is, because to some folks it means a lot more then the size of the antlers......shared from another group not wrote by me

Been several weeks of putting in some food plots in the woods. After 2 weeks it's coming it pretty decent for no till. Have a nice couple little trees that hopefully turn into a community scrape.

First time I've gotten it done on opening morning! Had 5 Tom's in the field at 100 yards slowly moving in. Then 3 Jake's came within 15 feet! They all started to walk behind me. Once the Jake's were gone I called the Tom's back and was able to harvest this one!

What a night! Dad messaged me he was heading my way. 15 minutes later he hits the scrape at 75 yards. Standing at 30 yards broadside with no shot. Snort wheeze at a smaller buck. Rakes the trees, makes a rub. Finally comes in at 20 yards. Let the arrow fly. I thought I missed. (Ended up being a liver shot) ran 20 feet away. he gave me another shot at 25 yards. Right through the heart. Ran 20 yards! What a night!

Man that was a fun hunt! Took a new hunter oit for his first time. Had 9 turkeys fly in off the roost and hang out all morning. Made a move and had them within range but they were in thick stuff. Then sat in another spot as we were getting ready to leave one came in. Got a shot off but no luck. But defiently a great start!
