FCGS Park Rapids Area Walleyes 7/29

More fun with Breezy Pines Resort & Campground guests Scott and Josh! We fished a couple different lakes and showed them some different ways to approach finding Walleyes this time of Year. We mostly focused on thicker w**d fish. 2 more PBs with Josh getting a 27.75" walleye and Scott with a 36" Pike.

Calling all Yar-Craft owners!

Join us September 12 at Fort Stevenson State Park in Garrison, North Dakota, for the Yar-Craft Owners Invitational Tournament, presented by North Country Marine & Motorsports.

Teams of up to 3 are welcome, with all participants fishing from a Yar-Craft boat. The pre-tournament meeting will take place Friday, September 11th at Totten Trail.

FCGS Park Rapids Area Walleyes 7/27

It's almost Hawgust and Scott and Josh wanted to Chase Hawgs! Scott got his PB as we got a 29.5"er and caught a 27.5" and a few other nice ones. We caught 15 over 22" today but still managed a few for a fish fry at Breezy Pines Resort & Campground this evening! 2 more days with these 2. More after numbers/eaters tomorrow!

FCGS Park Rapids Area Multi-species 7/26

Today we had the Etter Crew out from Texas to catch some species they don't have down there! We accomplished a few! We normally focus on Walleyes, but this time of the year bass are loving life and are super eager to bite. We caught a limit of eyes for a fish fry and a couple good ones up to 26.75".

FCGS Park Rapids Area Walleyes 7/21

Yesterday morning, long time Breezy Pines Resort & Campground guests Dylan, Bentley and I went mining for Gold! We went to a lake I haven't been on for 6 weeks but the fish hadn't moved. Water temps are still 78-81 but with this cooler NW blow right now should start dropping. Which will be a relief for the cooler water species on some of the shallower lakes.

We have been fishing some thicker w**ds or roaming deeper basin fish but still not fishing deeper than 20ft.

What a Great morning catching some walleyes! Spencer reached out to see how we are fishing these clear lakes in the Park Rapids Area with a few tips and a hands on livescope lesson! O and we got enough for a Big Fish Fry for his big Family on Vacation! Jigs and reaction baits are what we used Today. Mostly shallow around w**ds.

FCGS Park Rapids Area Walleyes 7/17

After a much needed week off the water we got back after it and had In-We-Go Resort guests Derek, Ella, and Claire out for some rod bending this morning! Lots of Firsts and PBs. 26.5" Walleye being the biggest with a few others in that same size range.

With the warm water temps fishing has been steady still. Seeing 78-81 degree water temps is a little scary for the Colder water fish. Fish we are releasing we make sure to get back ASAP in the water. The faster moving lures like jig raps, plastics, etc are working with the warm water as the fish seem to want to really chase a faster bait. We still used leeches and crawlers today as some of the reaction bites are tough to learn in a short amount of time for our guests. We managed 😉

FCGS Bemidji Area Walleyes 7/13

Corbin had Deno from Utah and his Son in-law from Australia out this morning before the heat! They each caught their First Walleyes and proceeded to catch a bunch more! Great Job Crew!
