🐴 Meet Mike & Paisley! 🐴

If you've been around the barn lately, you've probably already met the newest members of our herd!

Mike is a handsome 26-year-old black Morgan with a gentle soul, and Paisley is our sweet and curious 5-year-old Gypsy/Quarter Horse cross. They have both settled in beautifully and have quickly become part of the StirrUp Purpose family.

We're so excited to have these two incredible horses helping us change lives, one rider at a time. Be sure to give them a little extra love the next time you see them around the barn! 💙

Patriot Pinup has selected StirrUp Purpose as the beneficiary of their Pinup Bingo Night this Thursday, July 16, at 6:30 PM!

🎉 Please help us welcome Karli to the StirrUp Purpose team! 🐴

Karli is joining us as our Horse Professional in horsemanship lessons and hippotherapy sessions!

With over 10 years of teaching experience, a degree in Natural Horsemanship from the University of Montana Western, and PATH Intl. certifications as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist, Karli brings both knowledge and heart to our program.

She is passionate about helping riders build confidence, courage, and life skills through horses, and we couldn't be more excited to have her as part of StirrUp Purpose. Welcome, Karli! 💙

This month, we're thrilled to recognize Winny Powers as our June Volunteer of the Month!

Winny is the kind of volunteer who makes a lasting impact simply by being herself. She brings enthusiasm, kindness, and a genuine heart for serving every time she steps onto the ranch. Whether she's connecting with our staff, encouraging our students, or jumping in to help wherever she's needed, Winny does it all with a smile.

Her positive attitude is contagious, and her dedication never goes unnoticed. She consistently shows up ready to learn, grow, and give her very best. Winny's reliability and willingness to lend a hand wherever needed make her an invaluable part of the Stirrup Purpose family.

Join us in celebrating Disability Pride Month by participating in StirrUp Purpose’s first ever virtual hike/ride-a-thon – Pedal, Trot, Hike for a Purpose! Whether you’re on two wheels, your own two feet or astride a horse, we encourage you to hit the trails wherever you are to join the fun.

All donations will benefit StirrUp Purpose’s therapeutic and adaptive equine programs which support children and adults with disabilities, veterans, first responders and individuals facing significant life challenges such as homelessness.

When: July 1 through September 7.

Our goal: raise $10,000 in support of our life-changing programs.

How to participate:

🎉 A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT FROM STIRRUP PURPOSE! 🎉

We are proud to announce that StirrUp Purpose has received a $5,000 grant from the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation! 💙🐴

This generous support will help strengthen and enhance our Equine Assisted Therapy/Hippotherapy program, which improves the health, independence, and quality of life of children and adults with disabilities throughout Central Oregon.

✨ This grant will help us:
🐴 Increase access to life-changing therapeutic services
🌱 Expand programming opportunities
🌈 Enhance sensory-based learning environments
📚 Support staff and volunteer training
💙 Improve participant experiences

Last weekend kicked off our first Veterans & First Responders Retreat of the year! 🇺🇸🐴
Veterans gathered at Whispering Pines Horse Camp for a weekend of horses, connection, and adventure in the beautiful Central Oregon wilderness.

They rode through the breathtaking Three Sisters Wilderness, creating memories, building camaraderie, and experiencing the powerful connection between horse and rider.

We are grateful for the opportunity to provide these retreats and can’t wait for the ones still to come this year. 🇺🇸
