For many families, R.A.D. Nest is a first big step. It’s the first summer camp. It’s their first real exposure to outdoor adventure. And it’s the first little bit of independence for our growing toddlers, ages 3-4.
That’s why Nest, our nature-based preschool, is built around routine, safety, and gentle exploration…but with plenty of adventure for the littles that come with extra energy.
Each day includes sensory play, nature walks, and outdoor learning, all facilitated by trained and caring guides. Located at our home base at Seven Peaks School and designed to help little adventurers grow at their own pace 🌿

R.A.D. Sprouts is for the kid who come home with muddy shoes and sticks in their backpack. It’s for the little one that may take a bit of time to adjust to outdoor play, but by the end of the day, you can’t get her to come indoors. It’s for the little dude that has approximately 14 stories that are told as a single stream of consciousness.
Created for ages 4–7, Sprouts combines outdoor adventure with hands-on creativity and free play, all facilitated by experienced guides who know how to balance exploration, safety, and fun.
With a mix of outdoor excursions and home-base activities at Seven Peaks School, Sprouts gives younger campers the opportunity to build independence and a love of spending their summer outside.

Community starts with people who care deeply about the place they call home.
A huge thank you to Jed Peters ( of Bend Premier Real Estate for supporting R.A.D. Camps and helping more Central Oregon kids access meaningful outdoor experiences this summer.
Outside of real estate, Jed spends his time mountain biking, fly fishing, skiing with his kids, and coaching youth sports throughout Central Oregon and so he understands firsthand the value kids gain when they grow up connected to the outdoors.
We’re grateful to partner with local businesses and families who help keep adventure alive for our community.

Some kids are ready to cannonball into adventure. Others need a softer start. That’s exactly why we built R.A.D. Sprouts (for ages 4-7) with plenty of options.
Sprouts blends outdoor adventure, creativity, free play, and just enough structure to help younger campers build confidence outdoors while still feeling supported along the way.
Each day might include creek exploration, nature crafts, outdoor games, scavenger hunts, and plenty of imagination-fueled learning.
Love the free-play approach but maybe your camper needs a slower day or something a little less adventure? We understand that as we build our lifelong love of the outdoors, sometimes our adventure needs to include a bit more indoor time. We now have options for that.

The sound of the waterfall. The mist in the air. The feeling of discovering something wild for the very first time.
At R.A.D. Camps, we believe childhood should be filled with moments that build curiosity, wonder, and a connection to the natural world that lasts long after summer ends.
Because one day, the kids who learn to love wild places will become the ones who protect them.
