Central Oregon’s Only Free-Play Based Adventure Camp Since 2008 For Kids 3-17 R.A.D.

Camps is Central Oregon’s Only Free-Play based adventure camp for kids and teens ages 4–17. Since 2008, we've helped campers explore over 50 unique locations across Central Oregon's forests, mountains, and wild spaces. Our programs foster creativity, physical activity, and social connection through unstructured play, nature-based learning, and child-led exploration. Campers choose their own path, supported by trained guides who prioritize enjoyment, camaraderie, and cultivating a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors.

This Sunday, our community is coming together for a walk in remembrance of Megan Lambert and in support of the Silver Rail community.

Everyone is welcome to join.

Sunday, October 25, meet at 12:30 p.m. Walk begins at 1:00 p.m., behind Dudley’s Bookshop - Old Mill in the Old Mill District

Carnations will be available to carry in Megan’s memory, and Thump Genuine Coffee will be providing hot cocoa.

The Megan Lambert Memorial Fund is also linked in our bio for anyone who would like to support.

For Megan. For Silver Rail. 💜

10/20/2026

Our hearts are with the Lambert family, the Silver Rail Elementary community, and everyone across Bend who is grieving Megan’s loss.

Megan was also part of the R.A.D. Camps community and we are so incredibly fortunate to have known her and worked alongside her.

Megan dedicated her life to educating children and making sure that young people had the support and opportunities they deserved. Her family has established the Megan Lambert Memorial Fund through Oregon Community Foundation to carry that work forward.

Gifts to the fund will support causes close to Megan’s heart, which include education, mental health, services for children with special needs, Oregon schools, and local youth volleyball programs.

For those looking for a way to support Megan’s family and honor her legacy, please consider a gift to the memorial fund, which is linked in our bio.

Sending love to our entire Central Oregon community. 💚

Dark caves? Mysterious echoes? Our campers said "let's go!" 🔦🦇
Spooky ain't a season. It's a lifestyle.

Wheels up, helmets on, grease on the chains! This summer, R.A.D. Bike campers didn't just ride. They learned how to keep their bikes rolling too, from trail days to a behind-the-scenes lesson in the bike shop. Swipe for the full ride →

POV: it's Monday and you're mentally right here. The temps may be dropping, but these summer memories haven't cooled off one bit. This lake still lives in our heads rent-free.

Sometimes your new BFFs just happen to be made somewhere along the adventure. 💚

One of our favorite parts of camp is watching how new friendships form.

Sometimes it’s while climbing rocks.
Other times it’s while splashing in rivers and streams.
Sometimes it’s over a silly little made-up outdoor game.

But it’s never really a surprise when it happens because spending the whole day outside just has a way of bringing kids together.

We hope that all of our R.A.D. families are having a great start to the school year and finding their rhythm in this new season. We already miss the big adventures with our little explorers, and we can’t wait to do it all again next summer!

Until then, keep exploring. 🌲

The suntans fade, but the spirit of our very R.A.D. adventures stays with us. Thank you for choosing to spend your summer with R.A.D. Camps. 💚 Here’s to the 2026 summer season — the new friends, the outdoor explorations, and all the memories made along the way.

We love getting more kids outside. And we love being about to say YES to more families being able to send their kiddos to camp!

And so we’re grateful for the support from Diamond Tree in funding our scholarship program and helping make outdoor experiences more accessible to Central Oregon families.

Thanks for investing in our community and R.A.D. Camps!
