📣 VALLEY FAMILIES THIS IS WORTH YOUR ATTENTION!
Anyone with kids involved in sports knows how quickly the costs add up registration fees, uniforms, equipment, lessons, training, travel and everything else that comes along with giving our kids the opportunity to participate.
New legislation has been introduced in Pennsylvania that could help.
Senate Bill 1441 and House Bill 2753 propose a Youth Activity Participation Tax Credit of up to $2,000 PER CHILD for eligible expenses.
And this isn’t limited to baseball or even sports. The proposed legislation covers a broad range of eligible youth activities, including sports, camps, clubs, lessons, training and activities involving performances and competitions.
⚾ Baseball
🥎 Softball
⚽ Soccer
🏀 Basketball
🎵 Music
💃 Dance
🎭 Theater
🏕️ Camps & clubs
…and other eligible youth activities.
For an organization like Valley Athletic Association, whose mission is centered around providing opportunities for kids in our community, we believe anything that could help make participation more affordable for families deserves their attention.
These bills have NOT been passed yet. They need support to move through Harrisburg.
Senator Farry Frank and the legislators supporting this initiative are asking Pennsylvania families to complete a short petition/survey showing their support.
