Celebrate Bat Week with us!
Bats play a vital role in keeping our forests healthy. From eating crop‑damaging insects to pollinating plants and helping forests regenerate. These incredible nocturnal helpers are essential to the ecosystems we protect every day.

As we wrap up another gardening season, it’s important to remember that a healthy garden doesn’t need to be completely cleaned up for winter. In fact, leaving some natural materials behind can make a tremendous difference for wildlife, pollinators, and the overall health of the gardens * . Ranger Station Pollinators Garden Gorham N.H. .

A HUGE THANK YOU FROM THE COOS COUNTY BOTANICAL GARDEN PROGRAM!
As another wonderful gardening season comes to a close, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make this season such a tremendous success! Our gardens are about so much more than flowers, plants, and beautiful spaces. They are about community, connection, inclusion, teamwork, and bringing people together while supporting our pollinators.
First, a very special THANK YOU to Pam Laflamme, Community Development Director for the City of Berlin, Berlin City Hall, and the Berlin Recreation Department and Sylvia Poulin of the Main Street Program for your continued support of our gardening program. Your encouragement and partnership help us continue to create beautiful, welcoming spaces for our community to enjoy.
🌷 To all our amazing volunteers and everyone who participated in our Adopt-a-Garden Program: Michael Marshall for the wonderful summer field trip.THANK YOU! Your time, dedication, hard work, and love for these gardens have made a tremendous difference. Every garden you cared for contributed to the beauty and enjoyment of our parks. Our program would not be the same without you!
💚 To Northern Human Services at the Community Services Center: Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Our gardening program is proud to help promote community involvement, meaningful opportunities, and connections that bring people together.
🚒 To the Berlin, New Hampshire Fire Department: A huge thank you for keeping our water tank filled whenever needed! Your assistance helped us keep our gardens watered and thriving throughout the season. We truly appreciate your support!
🌻 To the seasonal staff of the Berlin Recreation Department: Thank you for all you do to help maintain our parks and support the many activities that make these spaces special. Your work is appreciated more than you know!
🧺 And a HUGE thank you for the wonderful picnic tables! It has been such a pleasure seeing visitors sit down, relax, enjoy a meal, spend time with family and friends, and take in the beauty of the park. These tables have added another wonderful opportunity for people to enjoy the outdoors and make memories together.
🌸 And finally, to everyone who visited our parks this season: THANK YOU for your kind words, compliments, encouragement, and support! One of the greatest joys of this program has been reaching out and connecting with all of you. Some of you we have known for years, while others we have had the pleasure of meeting for the very first time. Every conversation, smile, and kind word has reminded us why these gardens and community spaces are so important.
It has been a fantastic season filled with beautiful gardens, hard work, new friendships, familiar faces, and countless moments that made everything worthwhile. Watching people stop, explore, enjoy the flowers, and appreciate what our community has created together has been incredibly rewarding.
THANK YOU, EVERYONE, for being part of our gardening family! Your support, generosity, and enthusiasm mean more than words can express.
Until we meet again in the spring, enjoy the beautiful memories we've made, and know that every contribution, big or small, has helped make our parks a little more beautiful and our community a little stronger.
🌿💚 Healthy Pollinators, Healthy Communities! 💚🌿
🌱 Planting for Today, Planting for Tomorrow.
