What a way to start it.

“The EDGE 3 PRO played a huge role in helping me harvest my biggest buck to date. I hung a few cameras on a new farm in July, found a secluded alfalfa field, and after getting my first pictures of this buck in August, I was able to start putting together a plan for him.

Two weeks before season, he started to hit the camera like crazy and I knew if he kept it up we would have a giant on the ground. The camera and wind forecast on the app gave me the confidence to make the right move at the right time. Let’s gooo!!”

“It’s intimidating stepping into a new state and trying to figure things out.

In early July, I made the trip west to deploy some Moultries. This was the first buck that made an appearance, and he continued to check in periodically over the next two months.

When I came back to hunt, I decided to burn the first evening scouting. I sat on a ridge overlooking the area where my Moultries had been keeping tabs on him. Within minutes, I spotted him walking a heavy trail toward the alfalfa.

The tree I needed to be in the next morning was only 150 yards from where I got my very first picture of him.

I wanted to get in super early, but Hunt Plan was showing bad winds and less than ideal conditions for that spot. So I waited until about 1 PM, when everything finally switched in my favor.

At 6 PM, he stood up out of his bed and started making his way right toward me. He veered off a little early at 61 yards. I drew, stopped him, and put one where it needed to go.

My biggest buck ever.

I never would have known he existed if he hadn’t walked in front of that camera back in July. That’s what makes this one so special.
