Introducing our first Horse of the Week!

Border Patrol, also known as "Hank"

Hank has been part of our lesson program for the past 6 years. Hank is a 16 year old Quarter Horse gelding that has done everything from ranch work to jumping 3' to IEA. These days, Hank enjoys the short stirrup job and is great for teaching kids how to canter. He's incredibly sweet and a great partner for kids learning how to horse show.

We still have spots open for weeks 1, 3 & 4 for our Summer Horsemanship Camp!

Our camp is designed for beginner riders who want to get a taste of riding and caring for horses!

Rider of the Week - Ali Kuhn

Ali is currently attending Mississippi State's Veterinary School, about to start her second year. Before taking a break from showing for vet school; Ali showed her mare, Arisca in the 1.20M Jumpers. She has qualified for the Zone 4 Amateur Championships and was champion at WEF in 2024. When not at school or in the saddle, she likes spending time with her dog and traveling.

Rider of the Week: Anderson Ellis

Anderson has been working with her new, young horse really putting the time in! At their first show together, they were champion in the Children’s Hunters and she’s aiming to move up to the Junior Hunters. She always takes great care of her horses out of the saddle too!

Rider of the Week - Collins Hopkins

At the recent AHJA Kick Off Horse Show, Collins won "Best Child Rider" which is a huge accomplishment! Collins always displays excellent horsemanship, taking great care of any horse she rides before and after her lesson.

Rider of the Week - Wilkie Gonwa

Congratulations to Wilkie for being our first adult amateur rider of the week! Wilkie is graduating from the University of Alabama and continuing on for her MBA with a concentration in strategic management and marketing. Wilkie and her horse "Chutzpah" aka Gibby compete in the jumpers and have shown up to the 1.30M! Well done Wilkie, and congratulations on your graduation!

Our summer horsemanship camp is designed for young riders who have very little to no horse experience. Young riders will get a feel for riding, along with grooming and horse care. Children must be at least 6 years old to participate and camp runs from 9:30am - 1pm!

Rider of the Week - Mary Martha Athanas

Mary Martha has been making huge progress in lessons the past few weeks as she's been jumping full cross-rail courses! At the recent AHJA Show at Westminster, she was reserve champion in the older Walk/Trot division. Mary Martha always puts in extra effort during lessons when learning something new, and is delightful to teach. Amazing job, Mary Martha!
