Open Streets Boise is back this Sunday, September 27🚲 From noon to 5 p.m. you can explore local food, art, family-friendly entertainment, and live music in a welcoming atmosphere where people can come together and reimagine our streets as a place for people, not just cars. Supported by Boise Bicycle Project, Open Streets Boise temporarily transforms neighborhood streets into car-free community spaces where folks can bike, walk, and roll together. Protect Our Parks 💚 As the leaves change color, they provide a stunning backdrop for photos in Boise parks and along trails in the Boise Foothills. This includes locations like Kathryn Albertson Park, which is a very popular destination for family and senior photos this time of year. Please help us preserve the wildflowers, plants and pollinators by practicing Leave No Trace principles when you visit:

🥾 Always stay on paved paths and marked/mowed trails. Do not trample plants or disturb sensitive habitat to get the shot.
📷 If taking photos of families or portraits for others, place your subject/subjects on durable surfaces (dirt, rock, turf) throughout your entire session.
🌻 Leave what you find. Don’t pick flowers or remove plants.
🗑️ If you pack it in, pack it out. Never use glitter, confetti, smoke bombs or other potentially hazardous items.
👋 Be mindful of other visitors.
🦌 Respect the wildlife.

It's up to all of us to take care of these special places so future generations can continue to enjoy them. Thank you for respecting Boise’s beautiful parks and open space reserves.

St. Luke's FitOne is happening this Saturday, Sept. 26. Runners will hit the 5K, 10K and half-marathon courses through downtown and SE Boise, wrapping up at the Finish Festival in Ann Morrison Park. Please note, there will be traffic impacts in several areas, including along Warm Springs Avenue during the race. Join us this Saturday, September 26 for Foothills Family Day at the Foothills Learning Center 🌻Stop by between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for free, family-friendly fun with nature crafts, a bird-themed dress up contest, a look back at Boise’s open space history, and refreshments. Register for a guided tour that explores the history of Boise’s open space preservation efforts, current preservation work in action, and ways to support the future of the foothills. Let's go, Broncos! Before heading to the game this evening (Saturday, September 19), please remember that parking in city parks is free on a first come, first served basis and all vehicles must be parked legally. Towing will be delayed at Julia Davis Park, Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park, and Idaho Fallen Firefighters Memorial Park until 9 a.m. on Sunday morning. There is no parking in Ann Morrison Park due to Boise Pride Festival. Thanks for your cooperation, and go BSU!

🪗 The historic Hyde Park Street Fair starts tomorrow (Friday, September 18) in Camel's Back Park with a three-day art, music, and food festival. Explore nearly 200 vendor booths, live entertainment and community celebration through Sunday, September 20. The event is free to attend and open to all ages. Please note, there is no public parking in Camel's Back Park during the event and surrounding street parking is extremely limited, so alternative transportation is encouraged! Please note, there is a free park and ride service offered by Valley Regional Transit all day on Saturday from 300 W. Fort Street. You'll get dropped off about two blocks from the fair.
