‘Tis the Season for the frozen stuff. Wherever you are, we hope the lines are fat, blue, and plastic. Believe or not, we’ve got some killer ice climbing down south; conditions are finicky and day-to-day. But when it’s in, it’s in!! Bring your stubbies and don’t fall!

on the classic moderate, Chicken Bone, at Pilot Mountain, NC. Pilot Mountain is metamorphic quartzite monadnock located in the Sauratown Mountains; an ancient mountain chain named after the Saura Native Americans. It’s located in the Piedmont and surrounded by farmland and to***co fields, and just outside the industrial hub of Winston Salem.

It’s a new year with new gear, new mountains, new routes, new partners, and new epics. 2020 seemed like an epic of sorts - kind of like that unplanned bivy in the snow while being ill prepared and having no food, water, or extra layers.
