Boone Touch Rugby Starts This Thursday

We’re kicking off our weekly Touch Rugby Social and everyone is welcome. No experience needed, no tackling, just good rugby and good people.

All genders. All abilities. Total beginners to seasoned players. If you can pass a ball (or at least try), you’ll fit in.

Thanks to all the teams and fans who came out and braved the weather for our first home game and our inaugural tournament — y’all made it unforgettable. In addition, thanks to for coming out and providing us substance the whole day.

We hope to see everyone back on the mountain next year… and even sooner during our upcoming 15s season, which we’ll be announcing next week.

Local rugby club hosting tournament with hopes of growth BOONE — The Hellbender Rugby Football Club may still be in its infancy in terms of program existence, but it is ready to showcase its potential.

Coming in hot with our post-tournament social lineup… After the final whistle, the real ruck begins.

Phase One: Field Day + Beer Olympics

Kits on, kits off, or kits optional — we don’t judge. Team games, cold ones, food trucks, and beer-fueled relays before the sun dips.

Phase Two: The Outback Ruckus
📍 | 🕘 9pm–Midnight
DJ Loonen. Outback-style disorder. Bring your crew and your khakis — the ruggeder the better.

Dress Code: Outback Rugged
Khaki everything. Sleeveless. Stained. Crocodile Hunter-core.

We’re a week out.  Pools are locked, schedules are live, and the Hellbender Summer Sevens Tournament is locked and loaded for August 2nd. 12 teams. 1 field. 9AM kickoff.

We’re taking over Valle Crucis for a full day of rugby, chaos, and community — and you’re invited.
