🌎 WTSDA Family Connections — Get Involved!

Are you looking for an opportunity to get more involved and serve within WTSDA?

The WTSDA Business Committee is expanding the Family Connections Program, bringing schools and members together across regions and countries to build relationships, share ideas, and strengthen our worldwide connection as One Family.

This is also a unique opportunity to meet, work with, and build relationships with WTSDA school owners and leaders from around the world.

We are currently accepting applications for two volunteer opportunities:

🔹 Family Connections Assistant Manager
Works directly with the Division Leader to advance Family Connections. This position is a great fit for someone who is outgoing and creative, enjoys connecting people, and has ideas to help schools come together, interact, and build stronger relationships.

🔹 Family Connections Program Administrator
For someone who can work from home, is comfortable with computers, organized, dependable, and enjoys working with spreadsheets, tracking information, following up with participants, communicating with others, and helping behind the scenes.

You do not need to be a school owner to apply. We welcome WTSDA members in good standing who are dependable, positive, willing to contribute, and interested in helping strengthen our worldwide WTSDA family.

On behalf of the Governance Committee, we are happy to announce the appointment of Master Dean Click to the position of Regional Director and Master Todd Oyen to the position of Assistant Regional Director of Region 6.

Their new term will begin in January of 2027.

The 2026 World Championship – Nations & Regions album celebrates the countries and WTSDA Regions represented during the Opening Ceremonies of the 2026 World Tang Soo Do Championship. From the behind-the-scenes preparations to the Parade of Nations, these photos capture the pride, unity, and international fellowship that make our Association so special.

One of the many ways the WTSDA Family supports one another is through the Family Connections Program.

Serving One WTSDA Family
During the WTSDA World Championships, Master Jan Lappin and the Family Connections team coordinated a donation drive that collected uniforms, sparring gear, belts, training equipment, and other martial arts supplies to support our sister schools around the world.

From organizing the donation area and welcoming contributors to sorting, packing, and preparing equipment for distribution, this effort reflected the spirit of service that makes our Association so special.

A heartfelt thank you to every member, instructor, school owner, volunteer, and donor who contributed. Your generosity will help strengthen schools, support students, and create opportunities for more people to experience the benefits of Tang Soo Do.

Together, we continue to demonstrate that the World Tang Soo Do Association is more than an organization—we are one family.
